March Hares are naturally scared of June Bugs

Whoa! I just realized it's two in the morning! (I've got this philosophy that crazy things happen at two in the morning.) Anyway, this happpened earlier today and I thought it was just priceless. All you need to know it that Matt was our March Hare in the play and that's truly the thing that makes this funny.

I’m sitting outside with my cousins Adam and Matt, talking about whatever, when all of a sudden Matt starts cringing in his seat and whimpering. We ask him what is problem is and he points out several June bugs flying around us and confesses his mortal fear of them. We try ignoring them but Matt decides to proceed in freaking out every time one flys too close to him and brushing his hand through his hair because he’s afraid of them landing in it. I laugh and tell him, “March Hares are naturally scared of June bugs!” He then starts to fidget and exclaims, “And I’m a March Hare!” and then runs away to the safety of the house. That alone was great but- I couldn’t help but notice- the way he had been fidgeting, especially his hands, was so much like Reece’s Hare! I’m not sure if it was some bizarre coincidence or if I’m just that desensitized or a combination of the two but nonetheless it was kinda cool. ^^

On a different note, I had the strangest/funniest dream last night. John Hoffman and Reece Holland were trying out for our school musical (which was odd because it's Nunsense which has an all-girl cast... and we're not doing it until winter). And during the audition they had their Hatter and Hare costumes on, but no makeup. John didn't look much different but Reece looked wierd without his ears and Hare face. Anyway, Reece ended up getting the part of the Reverend Mother and John was Sister Mary Leo (the one who's also a ballet dancer). My dream then jumped ahead to the night of the performance and I'm sitting in the audience watching these guys dance and sing around on stage... as nuns. They were pretty good at playing these women too, which was the scary part. Got to see Reece do the part of the musical when the Reverend Mother accidentally gets high. It was so damn funny. XD
