quite the successful evening
A while back I assumed that this Halloween I'd just hang out at Adam's as usual and pass out candy but instead Alexia invited me to go trick-or-treating with her and her little sister. I accepted and we dicided to go as Vulcans so we went out and bought ourselves a couple pairs of Spock ears and Starfleet uniforms. Yesterday she drove me to her house and we watched a few Star Trek episodes and dined at her grandparent's. Then I helped her down in the calf barns, feeding, bedding, washing buckets, the works. I was surprised I hadn't been to her farm yet, nor had I seen any of her cows. The work really wasn't that bad, and we passed the time by joking about Hatter and Hare and singing Rent songs and she told me she was grateful of the help. Two calves were born while we were working, two heffers which is apparently rare, and Alexia and I were allowed to name them. We Christened the black-and-white one Jaundice (that thing was yellow, not white!) and the black one The Triforce because she had a perfect white triangle on her forhead.
After our labors we glued our ears on with spirit gum and changed with as much haist as we could muster- after all, we had a village to pillage. We parked her van in the middle of town and worked our merry way around. I think the coolest thing I saw someone do all night was two guys dressed up like robbers and after every house they'd dive into the back of a car waiting at the curb and drive off like they'd just commited a B and E. Then there was as house that had a projection screen set up in the front yard and they were playing Coraline. We got a bag of popcorn from them too! ^^ I thought it was pretty clever.
We didn't fully expect to find Mr. Madajski's house but we did. It was nice to see him outside the classroom and we were allowed to look at his infamous Pezz collection. I don't think I've ever seen so much Pezz. Je had an entire wall from floor to ceiling of shelves for these things. They were all organized by catagory and color, it was amazing. While we were walking off his porch he called after us, "Live long and prosper!" Hahah, I love that man.
By the time we were finished my tote bag was three-quarters full and all three of us were quite ready to go home. On the way Alexia declared that we should do this again next year and I agreed on the condition that we would go as Hatter and Hare. And yes, we both realize what a bitch their costumes are going to be but by thunder we're going to try! Raven should come with us and be Copy-Catter Hatter, or Rabbit, she loves them both. Or better yet she could be CC Hatter and we could dress Adam up as Rabbit. XD I would pay big money to see that. Then we could probably get Lindsey to be our Dormouse again... okay now I'm excited for next year, despite my futal ideas. X3
