For work, I went to check out a few nice little stores and cafe for my director. We're doing a branding promo. I have to say, I really have no idea there's so many nice little quaint stores in Singapore. Where have I been living all these years!?
So I went to check out the little Drom store. It was nice. But really small. Absolutely small. Cram, would be a better word. A cafe and trinket store squeezed into a small space that could not have been more than 15 feet by 15. The cafe has 4 tables inside. Each was a table for 2. A few steps from these tables was the store. Which was completed with 4 shelves up against any space on the wall, and a centre piece carrying books and other trinkets.
The incredible use of space is so clever, I swear, these ppl used to work for ikea. lol. It could be a place that was famous, but it could never be popular. Why? Well...where could they fit all the ppl? 5 ppl in i swear the store could be described as crowded. + I can't see anyone shopping at that small little space.
The place could be described as a dream. It is surreal, just like its prices. In a real world, an unbranded tote bag doesn't cost $79, a piece of cake, not bigger than a circle you could make with your forefinger and thumb, doesn't cost $8. It's image, in all sense, is set up to be...wait for it...designer. Visit the place? why not? Spend your money there? Maybe if you had extra cash to spare. Even then just a cup of tea and a piece of cake is money worth a full meal, without getting that satisfaction. But if you love to enjoy life, I guess there's where the money is spent on.
So grab your favorite book, buy a cup of tea, take your time.
