two year olds are just something else... they are in the process of developing their individuality and slowly becoming more and more independent, but yet they are still very dependent on us. they love for us to play with them and participate in their lives, but yet they love to be able to do things for themselves. some are potty trained, and others still need us to change their diapers. but even those that are potty trained still need our onlooking, making sure they are able to get on the toilet, and seeing that they dont fall in, etc. some still have separation anxiety when they part from mommy, but eventually become distracted and forget about mommmy. others come in so peacefully and are eager to play with their friends and enjoy vbs, or whatever it is that they are a part of that day. i assume its all a matter of where they are in their development and in what ways their parents have nurtured them as a baby. its just so interesting to look at all of their different personalities and spend time with each of these sweet angels, so innocent and pure. they have nothing to worry about, and just live so freely. it just seems so amazing if you sit and think about it...eventually they will grow up to be our age and be excatly where we are now, but for now they are just able to live in the moment. as much work as they are, and as exhausted as they make me, spending time with these kids this week has definitely been a wonderful learning experience. but yeah not every moment has been so glamorous. lOl so i guess they have some kind of fascination or just all like to go into the bathroom while someone else is trying to "potty". so thats what they did today, and im assuming that the little girl emmie, who did have to use the restroom got distracted. so she missed the toilet and ended up peeing all over the floor. and wow, guess who had to clean it up? hah thats right, me! i mean it was either that, or changing a diaper. so i guess, considering i did get to wear some HOT rubber gloves haha, it was probably the better pick. but yeah, still not how i would have had the day end. oh well, thats just what i get with two year olds, but they arent perfect! oh yeah, nik came and visited me about 45 minutes before it was time to go home! so we were just sitting there coloring and talking, and my sweet little girl ashley was sitting in front of us, and she got up and left a little bit after he sat down. i didnt think anything of it, but after he left amanda told me this: haha...she was like ashley came up to me (looking like she was almost about to cry) and was like "i dont like that boy". (i thought she was talking about a little boy named chad in our class at first but noo...) so she then proceeded to tell me that she was talking about nik, and that he scared ashley! haha poor baby! i mean, come on, nik isnt that scary! hah just talking to me for a little bit (which i do appreciate by the way, thanks nik!) and the sweet girl got scared. okay i just thought that was funny...but yeah this has been an extremely long post, and if you read it you had some patience! but thanks to those who actually did...i love you! by the way. today is kwesi*s 16th birthday! hope you had a wonderful day kwes! <33
