Every minute of July 7th 2005 has been a nightmare for everyone in London. This morning I was in tears cause I had a really important exam at College and there was absolutely NO WAY I could get there. This is the first time i've ever seen a train station CLOSED! This was at 10AM and there were loads of officers gathered around so I asked one of them if they knew a route for me to go to Brixton from Fulham and he said "GO HOME it's much safer there". But I just couldn't do that so I decided to phone my mum to ask her if she can take me only find everytime I tried to call someone the network said NOT ALLOWED! I was so confused, I knew I had paid my bill so I didn't know what the hell was going on. Then someone told me ALL the networks were down cause it's over flooded with calls. I was so pissed off now, so I decided to walk all the way to Putney to catch the 37 bus. And I swear every single bus stop was packed full of business men with suitcases and everyone had their head in maps. Hand on my heart i'd never seen London like this before, everyone faces just looked so lost and helpless and scared and you felt like you should go over to help. Anyways I ended up waiting for this damn bus for like 1 hour and a half until someone told me the 37's not running today. By then I just stormed off and walked back home. By now it was about 12PM then I watched T.V and saw Tony Blair speaking live about the terrorist attacks with George Bush behind him and all the other G8 leaders. I finally got through to my mum but she said she can't take me to College cause her company was faaar to busy with everyone needing taxi's. Thats when I thought Eleasha take a taxi DUHHHH! I knew a black Taxi would be waaay too expensive so I took a mini cab instead, so thats £20 out of pocket! I finally got to college at 1:30PM and was able to do my exam, YAY!!!!!!! But then of course I had the dilemma of getting home. :[ Some guy just pulled up opposite me and said "you wanna lift love?" I was like from a stranger NO THANKS! I bet loads of people made money becoming illegal taxi's today. Anyway's I managed to take the 35 bus half way and had to walk the rest of the way home. I'm just so relieved all my friends and family are SAFE! But my thoughts go out to everyone.
Isn't it ironic how we get terrorist attacks AFTER the day we get good news about the Olympics.
***EDIT***
Decided to add a map to show where the disaster stuck. :[
As you can see my College is really far from my house so it was havark!
And the 7 stations that were struck by the bombs. :[
