hi there. I thought I'd write a post on here, questioning the existence of live journal really. this may get a bit philosophical. see, I thought it was here so that people could write anecdotes of things that have happened to them recently/ that day (depending how often they go on here, in my case, not very!), good or bad, that may be of

Weather or not the LJ is for communication or a private diary is very much open to interpretation and in my experience the more sycophantic of it's users will swing their opinions on what it is to be used for in their opinion varying on the circumstances they need to justify their actions. For example I know one person who freaks whenever someone mentions something she has said 'In confidence' on her LJ, but when confronted by someone acussing her of doing the same, she replied "But its on the internet for everyone to read". Privacy settings kind of come into play, but it's really arguing over the pettiest of margins. The worst is a certain group of people who will have parties and gatherings but the dates/information is only posted on LJ, which basically means anyone not on their friends list doesn't know its happening and so doesnt come and everyone always comes up with the excuse "well it was on my LJ". People rely on the internet far to much nowadays I was without it for a month and everyone in stockport decided I was impossible to get hold of.
I started out as trying to use mine as some way of telling important things to close friends I didnt see very often. Then I added some people I knew better so that became kinda redundant, now I dont know what I use it for but I rarely add anyone. None of my closer friends really use theirs anyway.
I havnt seen you in ages, I hope your doing well.
