Artist Claiming

Jun 18, 2010 21:04

Hello everyone!
It’s time for artist claiming! We’ve had 10 amazing fics submitted this year. :)

This is how it’s going to work. Below are the summaries of all the fics submitted. You will go through and pick the TWO that you like best and comment to this post with the numbers right above them. I will assign you your number one choice. If that fic is already taken, then I will assign you your second choice. Simple enough?

#1
Title: Kiss Away The Pain
Pairings: Adam/OFC: Luxe Tobin
Rating: R
Warnings: strong language, discussion of knife play, discussion of rape & abuse, sexual situations, violence, character death (not main).
Summary: Luxe and Adam have been best friends since Hollywood Week. But now that tour rehearsals have begun Adam is finding out things he'd never known about his friend. Things that no one should have to go through. Can Adam be her Knight in Shining Armor? or will he be the support Luxe needs to over come her fears and help herself?

#2
Title: The Portrait
Pairings: Adam/Kris
Rating: NC-17
Warnings: Sex, angst, and love.
Summary: AU set in Santa Fe circa 1969. Adam is an artist. Kris is a rancher with a guitar and a love of music. They meet when Adam is commissioned to do Kris's portrait and the story begins. It's about overcoming personal obstacles as well as those coming from a judgemental and homophobic society. The backsdrop for the story is Santa Fe, New Mexico, a bohemian-like art colony and liberal even in 1969. The light and landscape are integral to the mood of the story. The characters will also spend some time in Taos, New Mexico and finally in San Francisco where they go to find acceptance. However, the bulk of the story is in Santa Fe and they do return there at the end.

#3

When the organization plans to steal a valuable Egyptian artifact from a museum, they become an unlikely team trying to help each other, without getting killed in the process.

#6
Title: Call the Darkness Light
Pairings: Adam/Tommy (past Adam/Brad)
Rating: NC-17
Warnings: character death, might be a bit offensive for devoutly religious types
Summary: Azazel, known on earth as Adam Lambert, holds a bit of a grudge toward God. Ever since God sent the Flood that destroyed his children, he has been one of the Fallen, working for Lucifer and forbidden from the Kingdom of Heaven. But God has plans and needs Azazel back on his side, so he creates a pretty blond bass player all for him - Tommy, and Adam cannot resist trying to win his soul. But there's a problem: Tommy's guardian angel is Brad, his ex and the best guardian angel in existence. So God and Brad strike a deal with Adam: Brad will step out of the way and let Adam try to tempt Tommy's soul from for three months, but if he doesn't win Tommy's soul, he has to return to Heaven and work for God again. Adam takes the bet because he's already madly in love with Tommy. It's not long before Tommy loves him the same, and because of the love between them, Adam cannot let Tommy give him his soul without knowing the truth. So Adam takes Tommy on a journey through Heaven and Hell and everything in between to show him what his choices would mean in the afterlife. Will Tommy love Adam enough to resist Heaven's beautiful allure? Will Adam love Tommy enough to give him up for all eternity so that he can have Heaven?

#7
Title: The Mr. Lambert Effect
Pairings: Adam/Tommy
Rating: NC-17
Warnings: attempted non-con
Summary: A high school AU. Tommy is a bored senior counting down the days until freedom, but spring semester gets a lot more interesting when substitute teacher Mr. Lambert takes over in history class.

Adam seems determined to thwart all Tommy's expectations. He has actually grown more chipper as the day has gone along, if that's even possible, bouncing with energy, a big smile and a nod for each student as they herd into sixth period. The sleeves of his white button-down shirt are rolled up to his elbows, as if he's ready to get down to some serious educating. He wears his gray argyle sweater vest without even a whiff of irony, and he stands at the head of the classroom, easy and confident, like he owns the place. There appears to be zero chance of him ending in tears the way substitutes usually do.

Tommy supposes the first thing he's learned from Mr. Lambert is: History, hey, not always a good predictor of the future.

#8
Title: Space Age Psycho Adam/Cop Tommy (Working title)
Pairings: Adam/Tommy
Rating: R
Warnings: Mild violence, language, racism, possible smut
Summary: Set in a futuristic space society with many different species, Tommy is an Officer of the Universal Net Force (UNF) and has dedicated the last two years of his life tracking down and capturing the mysterious, elusive serial killer (Adam) who has been murdering white male humans, who were all members of the Pure Human Alliance(PHA), led by the diabolical Ryan Seacrest. But Adam isn’t the psychopath Tommy expected, and the PHA’s actions are a bit more than shady, especially in their attempts to take down the group Fighting For Mixed Rights (FFMR). With the two radical groups, PHA and FFMR, at each other’s throats, and stuck on a tiny ship with a gorgeous man who may or may not be a murderer, and his only contact to the rest of the Universe is through a cell phone-like device named Paula which he uses to talk to the Techie named Matt, how is Tommy supposed to know who is innocent or guilty? And could all this talk he’s hearing about experimentation with mind control actually have some truth behind it?

Tl;dr: Space cop!Tommy is set on catching assassin!Adam, who may or may not be innocent, but things go haywire when two radical groups (PHA and FFMR) get involved.
