Summer (really short drabble)
A/N: Wrote this very fast :) Just something to honor summer! :D
Summer breezes. They always made Kris smile, especially when they carried the sweet scent of Adam to his nose so he could take in his beautiful aroma.
It was their annual summer vacation that Kris and Adam had been going to for the past two years together, and this year they planned something special, for this was going to be their last year with only two people. By that time next year, they would be laying on the beach with their new baby that was to arrive later in the year, most likely in December.
Kris rolled over on his side in the warm beige sand of the beach and gazed at Adam, who was laying peacefully, his eyes closed shut in pure bliss. Kris soothingly rubbed Adam's chest, earning a loving moan in return.
"Hey beautiful," Kris whispered.
"Hey yourself."
"Can you believe by this time next year we'll have a baby with us?" Kris asked, running a hand through Adam's hair.
"No, not at all. Kristopher, you think we'll be good parents?"
Kris smiled and rolled on top of Adam, gazing lovingly into his eyes.
"The absolute best sweetie. I promise you, Adam Mitchel Lambert, we shall be the best parents in history."
After kissing romantically and playing in the sand, the sun began to set. Adam and Kris ran up to the shore and sat hand in hand as the sun hit the water. When it set, they kissed each other and played in the water, splashing each other and throwing sea weed in their hair. It was as if they were kids again.
As the day drew to a close, Adam and Kris laid in their beach bed together in each others arms, kissing and talking to each other like the used to endlessly when they were on Idol.
They talked about their love, the new baby that was to be coming, their singing careers, and about their life when the baby came. Soon, the subject of their love life when the baby came came up, and Adam became very worried.
"Kris, what if we just become one of those couples that falls apart after the baby comes? What if we begin to hate each other? What if-"
Kris pressed his lips to Adam's and smiled at his husband's shocked expression.
"What if I shut up now..." Adam mumbled incoherently. Kris giggled and kissed Adam again.
"What if we just fall asleep and talk later, baby?"
"I'm good with that."
The two laughed and, like Kris said, they both fell asleep in each other's arms, smiling like geeks in love.
Yup, Kris Allen loved Adam Lambert, no matter how dumb he could be.
It was inevitable. <3
