I went to the concert yesterday. It was the best day of my life. I had so much fun. This is going to be really long, so if you wanna read it all, click the linkie thing.
Woo aren't I fancy using a code now? Mmhmm oh yes.
Ok my mom and I left at around 10. But first we had to go to the mall to pick up something for my little cousin's birthday. My mom was like "yeah let's go get you boots"... so being the little 'poser' I am I went into Hot Topic and got some plats. If anyone has a problem with that, fuck you because I don't have enough money to go get the fucking custom made ones. Anywho.. I got my boots and they're like 4/5'' high and they're awesome. After that we went into the city. We drove around for a bit and we were in the village. I got a Marilyn Manson patch (a red and yellow one from Smells Like Children) and a green and black Everclear one. Yeah that was fun. We went to this really good pasta place for lunch and it was the best. I called Brian because he was out of school too. I don't know why I called him, my mom just asked me to call someone and he was the only one out.
After we went to the village, we parked in another parking lot. We bought a camera at one of the biggest Duane Read's (drug store / pharmacy) that I've ever fucking seen. It had two floors and an escalator leading from the first to the second. It was huuuuuuuuge. After this, we went to Madam Tussous Wax Museum and it was amazing. THere were all these famous people who were made into wax. It was so cool. They had Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, Mick Jagger (but he looked dumb), Prince, N*Sync (hahahaha), James Dean and Marilyn Monroe, Babe Ruth, and a lot of other people. They had a French decapitation room too. I wouldn't go in it hahaha. It was really cool. After such, we went to Starbucks and had a gingerbread latte. It was the best cup of coffee I ever had. We walked around the little block thing and then went into Sanrio because I really like that store. Don't ask why. And I got this glitter poweder and it was the best. I put it all over my face in the store then my mom said she would buy it for me.. wee.
So then we went into B.B. Kings (the venue the concert was at). It was really nice. This bald guy was like "you guys are the first two to arrive. You get to pick your seats when you get into the concert place" and I was about to cry. He gave us these little red tickets that said 1 and 2 on them and I felt so lucky. It was 6 and we couldn't go into the concert place yet (it's hard to explain -- there was like 2 separate rooms. One was a big room with chairs, a bar, a stage, and bathrooms, which was where he was playing. And another was a resturaunt / bar where you sat and had a few drinks). We couldn't go into the room with the stage in it but I passed it and I saw Art doing a sound check! I started to cry and it was awesome. Then we went into the bar / food place and got some drinks. We had to wait like an hour and a half before they called us. This was awesome because since we had tickets 1 and 2 we got to pick where we wanted to sit. I was so happy. I felt so lucky... and I was gonna cry haha. Anywho, we picked a seat right in front of the stage. We had to wait 2 hours until the opening band came on, so we played hangman and ate french fries to pass the time. The first band came on and they really sucked.
Then there was like a 20 minute intermission. My mom told me to write Art a love note, and I did, and I put it under his amp where he would see it and the stage crew wouldn't take it away. But then the show started. I was crying. Here's the playlist. You proably wont know some of the songs but I'm posting it anyway. The ones that have stars next to them I'll explain at the end.

*Pink Cadillac - A Bruce Springsteen cover
*Here we Go Again - All he said was "HERES A SONG ABOUT SEX!!!
*Volvo Driving Soccer Mom - He had 3 girls and 4 boys go onstage and dance like strippers, but the guys had to dance for the girls and it was soooooo funny!
*Why I don't Beleive in God - It was the end of the show and he was taking requests. I was screaming at him and he came over to me and asked me what I wanted to hear. At first I said "Hating you for Christmas" and he told me no because he would cry. But then he asked me to pick something else and I said "Why I don't Beleive in God". He told me I had a very good taste and he would think about it because it was a depressing song. He took someone elses request, the Twistinside, then he played mine. I started crying really hard because I love that song so much. He came down by the stage and winked at me and asked me if I wanted to sing the last line, which was "I've heard the truth about you.." and I did and it was the best.
I Will Buy You a New Life - This taught me a lesson. I always thought it was about money because it went "I will buy you a garden where your flowers can bloom I will buy you a new car perfect shiny and new, I will buy you a big house way up in the west hills, I will buy you a new life, oh yes I will" but he said "IF ANYONE TRIES TO TELL YOU THIS IS ABOUT MONEY TELL THEM TO FUCK OFF" and he went into an explination about what it was about. I love him so much.
Yeah that was the playlist. He played them so awesomely. When the concert was over, he came and layed down on the stage right by me and was like "hi!" and gave me a hug! (ha gave me several hugs during the show)So after we talked about music and shit and he let me touch his arm! It had the Powerpiff Girls on it and I thought it was the best. I just love him. My mom talked to him and called him "artie" and he was like, no call me Art! And Thats when I have him my note. He said thank you, put it in his pocket, and he kissed my head. He was like to my mom "you have one great daughter" and I was speechless. We just sat there while he signed and it was the best. We had to go so I said "bye Art!" and he gave me a hug and signed the playlist I wrote in eyeliner during the show.
It was the best night ever.
