Prompt #105: Riding

Jun 10, 2015 22:21

Title: Riding
Pairing/Characters: Ashley (as Dark Horse), Tommy (as Blues), mention of Adam (as Hollywood)
Rating (Word Count): PG (2x100)
Warning(s): another cliffhanger because I'm evil and the loosest interpretation of a prompt ever
Author's notes: continuation of the Bad Blood 'verse from Hollywood Sold Out and Strange Battles

Dark Horse was a great driver- hell, the best on the team. But she couldn't control the bumps on the road. Every time the bike passed over one, Blues felt a residual pain in his shoulder from when he'd been shot

(don't sugarcoat it, now- from when Hollywood shot you)

and was grateful he was riding instead of driving this time.

"Why would he do this to us?" he murmured.

He didn't expect Dark Horse to hear, much less answer, but everyone on the team had super-heightened senses. "No sense asking me, he's the philosopher." Pause. "He was the philosopher."

Blues just shook his head. Everybody had their reasons for joining the Glamily in the first place- keeping their blood families safe, not wanting others to hurt the way they'd been hurt, just to be a positive force in the world- but there shouldn't've been a reason for screwing people over.

"We're not supposed to fight because we enjoy it, we fight for the greater good. We're supposed to be the opposite of our enemies." Sigh. "You think Hollywood forgot that somewhere along the way?"

"Nothing surprises me anymore." A small noise sounded on the bike's radar. "We're almost there."
