FairAdam hadn't wanted to believe the whispers going around RCA, but after hearing the planned video budget for 'Trespassing' was going towards another artist's promotion, he was more certain his days at the label were over.
Sure, critics liked the album for the most part and sales were good- hello, Billboard number-one debut- but comparing the numbers to FYE was like apples and oranges. Add to that the lackluster singles promotion and he knew 19 and RCA just didn't have their heart in anything anymore.

Adam tried keeping a happy face to not upset anyone, especially those devoted fans, but he could only hold it in for so long. And the first person he ended up breaking down in front of was Tommy, the one outside of his family and Danielle that he could trust more than anyone. He had been right there with a strong shoulder and supportive arms and non-judging words.
"It's gonna be OK, Adam, you'll fight this. An' you know what? We all got your back, especially me."
"I know..." Trust went both ways, and he wasn't about to break it.
