That...was a smoky smell. Adam had a feeling he should not be smelling that. He dashed to the kitchen to find Tommy waving his mitt-covered hands over a dish of something. "Glitterbaby? Y'OK?"
Tommy groaned, clearly embarrassed. "This sucks; I found this lasagna recipe that swaps the noodles for zucchini an' I know you're wanting to eat healthier so I thought I'd try it, but..." They both looked at the sadly-shrunken slab. "Stupid zucchinis."
Awww. "You're sweet for thinking of me, babe," Adam kissed Tommy's forehead. "C'mon, I'll show you how to make my favorite salad. No ovens needed."
