I got an [almost-confirmed now-quite-probable] research assistant appointment with a linguistics and Chinese studies professor who is reconstructing Old Chinese with a French colleague. Do you know how cool Old Chinese is? It is so cool. I will talk more about it when I, um, know a bit more than I do now. And have more time. And also have replied to the second email.

I guess I will go in search of more caffeine and try to do the film work (one of the long list of things I ought already have done and/or must figure out or learn as soon as possible) before I go to bed. I mostly want just to go to bed. *torn*
I ate too much chocolate cake. Note to self: the cheesecake there is more delicious.
