i saw best coast and the decemberists on saturday with my sweet friend stephanie, it was... phenomenal.
outside the venue we met these two really cool guys who had a rockin taste in music, and let us steal the seats next to them, so we actually had better seats than we started with.
it rained for most of the concert, but i think that just made it better.
best coast fucking KILLED IT. beth and ali were super hot, and bobb rocked it out and they were just amazing. a bunch of people stood in front of the stage, and i got to stand directly in front of beth during boyfriend (my favourite song) before security made us go back to our seats.
the decemberists were wonderful too, colin meloy seems like such a kind and genuine person. it broke my heart that jenny wasn't playing with them, but they were still just... fantastic. during the encore, colin encouraged everyone to wave their chairs around in an angry fashion, or stand on them. "do something creative with your chairs," he said. he ran around the entire venue, and ran directly past us, and it was so cool.
i cried so much during the whole concert. i want to see them both again so much. hotdamn.
