Nov 09, 2004 09:48

OK, kids. In looking at the calendar I have decided that panic is in order. I know that you are all stressed and such with school, love lives (or lack there of), work, money, families and such ... but who isn't? But with hurricane things monopolizing plenty of time down here, a lot of us have just looked up and realized that Thanksgiving is now only two weeks away. COORDINATING REMARKS:

1. I always put this off because even though it only takes 30 minutes every month ... I don't know why, I just put it off.

2. Another thing I hate to do. As a Chamber of Commerce board member, we are each supposed to call some members and make sure they are satisfied and don’t have any questions. This month we get extra calls- to try to convince some of these visiting building contractors to join! (I think Chamber staff should make the calls, and since I used to BE Chamber staff, I should know.)

3. Month is short so gotta get busy on the four-page employee newsletter and calendar. As usual, this would be easy if people would give me their crap on time.

4. Gotta set up for a three-hour Expo on the 17th at 6:30 IN THE A.AM. Yuck.

5. Oh yeah, supposed to be working with a video producer to get one in the works for our place. Will be used for presentations and TV commercials. (Since my Summer Ball fundraiser did so well, we can now afford to do this!!)

6. Again, because we made some bucks, we gave money to two needy clients for their treatment expenses. I need to get the word out.

7. Ours was so bad we pulled it. I found a new local company that does and admirable job ... so I GRDd and hired them. Haven't heard form them lately and need to light a fire.

8. This one is a pain. We participate in this thing every year downtown in the park. I'll explain it later, but I have to get creative. Yuck.

9. And yet more creativity. Who thinks up these things?!?! Oh yeah, me.

10. This year's company party will be big because it's all free. There will probably be 150 people there. And of course, I am in charge. On minor problem is that I will be on the family cruise from Dec. 11-16. The party is on the 17th. So I need to be doing some SERIOUS GRDing now! (Ok, I’ve already done a lot, but still.)

11. Had lunch with the Congressman, need to follow-up on some possible federal funds. (He's cute!)

12. Another thing I've kinda out off because of the hurricane. I need to bring attention back to this so people will sponsor again, but didn't want to get lost in the confused shuffle. Should be ready to go next week.

13. Eh, boring. But must be done. Can I please hire a staff person??

14. I like creating brochures, but need time to be creative and concentrate- neither of which has been easy lately.

15. The newspaper will run my column whenever I submit one ... which makes me lazy. I need a deadline!! (But they love me.)

So that’s all I have to do at work! Tomorrow I will attempt to present my HOME list!!
(Do you realize how much I could have done INSTEAD of this list?!?!)
