So, I finally ended up in Select and Save (after a long saga involving Murder She Wrote, the Chapel and a lot of rain) and stood in front of the milk. They had all three types of green milk, the one pint bottles were 49 pence with a best before date of the 27th, and the two pint bottles were reduced to 40 pence with a best before date of tomorrow. And I didnt know which one to buy! The one pint one clearly wouldnt be enough, but I wasnt convinced I could get through the two pints before they went off. Thinking back, I suppose the key question would have been whether I would get through one pint of the the two pints before it went off, but that didnt occur to me at the time. I knew that four pints would be too much. So anyway, I'm standing there for some time, trying to make a decision. Eventually I chose one, took a few steps away, changed my mind and went back, but ended up with a definate decision made.
I got the other things I wanted and went to the till. When I was waiting in the queue I thought to myself how impressive it was that I could carry all the things without needing a basket, and as I examined the clever way I was managing it I suddenly noticed that I was in fact holding two bottles of milk, a two pint bottle and a one pint bottle! And I couldnt remember which one I'd decided on! Nor could I work out how it was I had two anyway. So I had to go back to the milk aisle and make the decision all over again. I chose the two pints, because it was cheaper :)
