So. Finished the last of my Christmas shopping today. On monday the last of the parcels will be sent by the ever faithful postal service. Neither rain nor sleet.... Just don`t ask about the shotgun on the passenger seat. Nice postal worker...
Well actually I worked delivering the mail when I was a student, and the 24th of december was both the best and worst day to work. The best because some would hand out small presents for us or pop out with something warm to drink. Worst because if something didn`t make it in time for the 24th, we got yelled at. And I don`t mean "aargh"or anything like that, but serious personal verbal abuse. So to the postal workers all over the world, cheers and have a nice holiday.
But doing the season shopping is a dangerous thing, because this is when you find the things you really want for yourself. To wit:
1. LUSH has opened a store in my town. ow I haven`t tried it out myself but I`m curious, and since my friend Quaryn swears by it, I figure I should give it a try.
2. My local DVD dealer has a lot of dvd bpxes for a nice price, and it is nice.
3. Le Palais des Thé has a new collection of japanese teacups that I drooling over. Not to mention the tea itself
4. I finally found a bookstore that carries Cherie Priest. When the words Zombies and Steampunk comes together, its gonna be good.
5. Assassins creed 2 on PS3
6. Parts for a Gauss gun.
7. Belgian confect for half price.
8. Aclothes store that sells really nice clothes where my size is on the racks. No tailoring required (Im a weirs size, I`m too big for regular sizes, but to small for the big size stores).
9. Roman coins (Yes, owning something that was made for 2000 years ago is acool thing for me)
Aaaarghh the list goes ever on...
Anhew merry seasons everybody
