Books read in May and Chena River caching

Jun 01, 2014 11:10

The Water People by Joe Simpson (Apr 27-May 5)
Dead Lucky: Life After Death on Mount Everest by Lincoln Hall (May 6-16)
Breaking Point: Challenge on Alaska's Mt. Hunter by Glenn Randall (May 16-20)
Beyond the Limits: A Woman's Triumph on Everest by Stacy Allison (May 21-31)

The rafting/geocaching on the Chena River was kinda fun. It would have been more fun if it hadn't been cold, rainy and windy most of the time. It started off warm and sunny (70 degrees!) but by the end it dropped down to 44! I was FREEZING, even with my fleece jacket and rain coat. Oh well, it was still cool caching with other people and seeing what was along the river. We saw a golden eagle and two moose! Aww. I think we found 11 or 12 caches? I still need to log them haha. I was SO glad when we got back to the cabin..someone lit a fire and it felt AMAZING. It also started raining and didn't stop..I'm glad we got back when we did haha. We had a nice dinner, then went home. Being in a warm bed felt amazing :P
