Dutch: Short for Dutch Harbor, a booming fishing port in the Aleutians. Dutch is actually the port for the city of Unalaska, but in true tail-wags-dog fashion most people use the port's name when talking about the city. Dutch Harbor was so named by the Russians because they thought a Dutch ship was the first European vessel to enter it. The port got its start as a naval base just before World War II.
