New haircut!
On Saturday, the bookstore made $8,626, our best sale yet! It seemed like there were 100 people in the building when we opened haha. It was pretty epic! We promote our merch (shirts, bags, etc) a lot more now, and that's one reason why we do so well now. Because I worked Saturday, I had today off, so I figured I'd pamper myself haha and get my hair cut!
Nice! I love choppy layers lol. There was drama though, when I got out of the car I saw a police officer trying to run on the slippery ice after someone..he was holding a taser and screaming "GET ON THE GROUND!!!" The guy finally listened and that's when at least 6 or so other police officers arrived..all that for one guy?? Crazy lol
Mom and I also saw The Wild Robot. I've been curious about the book it's based on, but thought I was too old to read a middle grade book. I was worried the movie would be too "kids-y," but it was SO good! The animation and use of color was GORGEOUS and it just had a great story. I definitely need to read the book now!
12. What Habits Do You Have, and Have You Ever Tried to Change Them? Doing things at a certain time, picking the skin around my fingernails, etc. Some..not always successful, but at least I tried lol
13. Does Keeping a Messy Desk Make People More Creative? I feel like that would be way too stressful for creativity..maybe for people who don't get overwhelmed easily?
14. Does Reading a Book Count More Than Listening to One? There are people with disabilities who can't read, so listening should count too! I personally don't like listening to books, but everyone is different lol
15. Are You a Novelty-Seeker? Uh..have you seen my four-poster bed and fancy curtains and pictures of me with giant glaciers in the background?? A big YES haha
16. How Strong Is Your Sense of Smell? Way too strong (autism enhances all my senses). One time I was in the car I told mom I smelled sycamore trees, and was like "there's no way you can smell that!"...until she saw the sycamore trees herself. She doesn't doubt my sense of smell now! Haha. One time someone told me I have the nose of a bloodhound. :P Not always a good thing (before covid, the olive bar at the grocery store smelled AWFUL), but I also got to smell the evergreen trees when sailing up Unakwik Inlet up to Meares Glacier, which felt like paradise..one of my favorite memories lol
