Wisconsin!

Music:none

Well, Wisconsin was *fun!* Now I can post my journal from all 3 trips. (At the end of the post.)

I was listening to "The Unforgiving Blade" live, and I swear, if there weren't adults around, I woulda danced. And while I was listening to the live CD, I found a new HammerFall song that's *awesome!* It's called the Way of the Warrior. I love it, and can't get it outta my head! If that's what the live version sounds like...WOW!! I let my cousin listen to HammerFall and she like it- and she's only 6! Yay HammerFall!

And I finished "The Dragon Reborn" yesterday. We were visiting someone, and I was almost done (75 pgs left), and I bet my mom $3.00 if I could finish it there. I won. I'm now on "The Shadow Rising." Now...for the journal!

*Trip to Kansas, Colorado, Wisconsin*

7-8-04
Today we’re driving to Kansas for a few days, then on Monday we’re driving to Colorado, staying till Saturday, then driving back to Texas. Then, we’re flying to Wisconsin for a few days. Sounds like a lot of traveling, but it should be fun.
Well, we’re here. Grandma has such a nice house. And the sycamore in the next yard is as nice and good smelling as always. I could smell it when I got out of the car. I took one of the leaves from grandma’s backyard and breathed the scent in deeply. WOW, it smelled good! SYCAMORE IS THE BEST SMELL, EVER! Well, maybe after steel on swords, LOL!

7-10-04
We are in our hotel now. Yesterday we visited Connie and her family. They’re awesome! Connie was my mom’s friend in high school. Today we’re gonna say bye to them and then see aunt Julie.
We just finished visiting with Connie and her family. (It’s 5:45) They are so nice and funny and lighthearted! Their daughter, Leah, is 22 and lives close to them. She is cool, too. I’m about to watch JI Jane and we’re driving to Julie’s. Did ya know on the way here there were green, rolling hills that look like the ones in Waimea? Mom said they’re the Highlands of Kansas and I’m like cool.
Well, we’re at their house now. It’s so cool! If people think I’m rich they should come here!

7-12-04
We are now off to Colorado! Yesterday we went to the Garden of Eden, where this guy made sculptures out of concrete. We drove through the “Highlands of Kansas.” There were so many green hills and there was a lake-Lake Wilson. I’m getting tired of all this open flatness. Mom said the place in Colorado will make me forget Scotland. Oh, really? Before we left I went on the Internet to talk to my friends. (I did last night, too.) It was really great to talk to them. Before we left, I got to swordfight Jordan with plastic katanas! It was really fun (even though Jordan was fighting crazily with the sword), and we brought them with us.
Well, we’re here! (We have been for a few hours.) On the way here I amused myself by drinking SoBe and reading a book this kid wrote about his Asperger syndrome at the same time. I could relate to the kid somewhat! And I was *really* hyper. Me, grandma, and I had a quiz book, and we also did some of that. I also did surveys I found on the Internet. I’m glad I found as much as I did-I didn’t get bored and I’m still not finished! I also listened to music. Most of the way was boring, flat plains, and was getting *so* monotonous, but when we *finally* reached Denver I saw mountains. It was beautiful coming up. The air is so cool and fresh, and smells of pine and fir. Tonight we went swimming and played pool. It was quite fun.

7-13-04
This morning I went to see the creek behind the condo and met the neighbors. I wouldn’t have met them if it wasn’t for a squirrel. They said there was a squirrel in the tree I was by. It was mad at me, LOL. I talked to the neighbors for awhile. They were really nice. I have been amused by Jordan’s swords. I love swordfighting Jordan and even taught him the proper fencing position. I’ve been wearing one on my belt loop. Mom took a picture of me on the computer and holding the sword. Right now we’re going to a gold mine in Breckenridge. (No, I didn’t bring the sword!)
The mine was interesting. I woulda hated to be a worker there-it was *freezing,* they had to walk in water, they had to work in candlelight that hardly gave off *any* light. But it was still interesting to see. Then we panned for gold. I didn’t find any, but mom and Ryan did. I was so amused by the steel in the mine. (Swords are made outta steel, so it does have a significance, so IT’S NOT STRANGE, LOL!!) Aunt Cindy arrives tomorrow, yay!
After Julie puts her kids to bed, I’m gonna let her look at my pictures on mom’s computer. I put *the* most hilarious captions on them! Some of them tell a story. I kinda miss the Internet (especially talking to Amanda), and doing surveys, but I’m finding things to amuse myself. (Especially the plastic swords!)

7-14-04
Cindy’s here. Guess what?! CINDY AND JULIE BOTH LIKE HAMMERFALL AND BLIND GUARDIAN!! Cindy said she likes HammerFall better. I agree! We’re going out to dinner soon. Good, cause I’m hungry!
The dinner was good-we ate at an Italian restaurant. We’re watching Star Wars now. I don’t really like that, but I’m watching it cause of the swordfights! And cause I’m bored. Aunt Cindy was making fun of me cause I can’t say HammerFall right. Dunno why, but I feel kinda stupid. Oh, yeah, and Julie and Cindy loved the captions I put on the pictures. I guess I have a good sense of humor.

7-15-04
Today we are going to Breckenridge to do stuff. I think we’re gonna do a bike ride, too. And shop.
We took ski lifts to the top of this place. It was kinda scary cause our feet were just hanging off the side and I felt like I was gonna fall. Then we found a bar to put our feet on. I felt much safer after that. At the top there was a beautiful mountain view. We were gonna eat up there, but Joelle started hysterically crying and wouldn’t stop. Well, we took the lift back down. Julie, Ryan, me, Joelle, Ryan, and grandma are heading back to the condo, while the others are riding this slide thing. Joelle still hasn’t stopped hysterically crying. Julie said we have nerves of steel for tolerating it. This is the time where I need my music. (Yay HammerFall!) Man, Joelle can really cry!
It stormed earlier. We were gonna bike ride and go on the lake today, but we’re gonna do that tomorrow. I’m listening to HammerFall, of course. Joacim Cans, the lead singer, has an *awesome* voice! He can make great music without screaming. That is a very good example of very good music. Hansi Kuritch, Blind Guardian’s singer, screams sometimes, but I don’t imagine it any other way, so I’m used to it. I’ve had “The Unforgiving Blade” and “Let the Hammer Fall” stuck in my head since yesterday. “The Unforgiving Blade” is an awesome song, so I don’t mind. I’m listening to it now.

7-16-04
At 9:30 we’re going on a boat ride. Then, we’re gonna bike ride. I hope I can get some sun today! Tomorrow we leave to drive back to Texas. It went so fast. But then I get to go to Wisconsin, wo-hoo!
Well, the boat ride was OK. It was *freezing,* but you got a good view of the mountains. The mountains are *so close* to being shrouded in clouds. I think it’s gonna rain.
Me, Ryan, mom, and Cindy just did a 14 mile bike ride! The way up was uphill and was so tiring. (But the scenery was nice.) The way down was fast cause you rode all the way down really fast. On the way up people were smiling at us cause they weren’t doing any work and we did. On the way down we did the same thing! It was fun!

7-17-04
We are driving back to Texas today. Today’s my 1 year anniversary on IMDb! How exciting! And guess what?! I got to take home Jordan and Jessalyn’s swords!! Julie said they couldn’t have them anymore and gave them to me! I got to swordfight Jordan again yesterday, too. I’ll miss swordfighting him. I’ll even miss Joelle. I’m glad to know she doesn’t always scream or cry. I’m so excited to go on the Internet again and take surveys and talk to Amanda! I’m looking at the mountains, and the clouds are lower than the top, and looks so cool! I knew there was something good about getting up early. I don’t think there will be anything interesting driving home, but if there is, I’ll tell about it when we go to Wisconsin.

7-19-04
We are going to Wisconsin today, yay! List of things to do on the plane- read, deface the magazines, listen to music, look out the window, talk to the random stranger next to me. LOL, I love doing that! It’s how ya meet someone new! LOL!
Well, we’re driving to Ron and Teresa’s now. I think it’s about an hour away. On the plane I defaced part of the magazine, of course, listened to music, and read. I was looking for my house after takeoff and I swear I saw McKamy. (Oooh, I see the courtyard, LOL) I hope I can go on the Internet!
Well, we’re here, and we’re eating dinner. Stephanie *really* likes me. Nice to know someone does.

7-20-04
Today we’re going to the buffalo farm we went to last year for that wedding anniversary. We’re gonna spend the night tonight. Yay, should be fun! Wonder if it’s changed any or anyone I recognize will be there. Wonder if they’ll remember me.
Well, we’re here, and some people from the reunion are here. Some of them recognize me. The people who own the house do, of course. The house and the surroundings look the same. The person I met and liked last time, Debbie, is at camp. She’s 13 and she’s 6’1” and still growing!! Shades! She’s taller than my dad! She wasn’t that tall when I met her.
We just finished swimming at the Watertown public pool. Before that we walked to Fox Hill, by the house. Swimming was OK. I got to talk to some nice people, so that was good. I was so amused by water that shot outta the ground. If Kayleigh were there she woulda been *so* amused. There are so many preppy teenagers here giving me weird looks. I’m writing in a journal. Is that supposed to me strange?
We’re at the person with the pond and rope swing’s house. Before we came we had dinner. I ate with some of the relatives (kids) and shared some good laughs. It seems there’s nothing better than a good laugh. I *love* it here! It’s so nice and pretty! It seems everything’s good in Wisconsin. Up on this hill it’s cool- and would make good snow sledding. (Just don’t slide into the pond.) This is about the time fireflies come out- I wanna catch some!

7-21-04
Last night I did catch some fireflies, and watched My Dog Skip. Today I hung out at the house while practically everyone else did errands. I was almost finished with my book (75 pages left- “The Dragon Reborn”- Robert Jordan), and I bet my mom $3.00 if I could finish it there. She got the money if I didn’t finish it. I won. And soon after that we left and we’re now at Ron and Teresa’s and Stephanie’s. NOOO! I have to turn off HammerFall, LOL!
We just ate dinner. I wanna watch ROTK tonight. Tomorrow we leave for Texas. Well, these were *really* fun trips! I’ll be glad to talk to Amanda and other Internet friends and take surveys again. (I *know* Live Journal has more, LOL!) I miss Amanda so much. Haven’t talked to her in awhile.
