Be That A Bandwagon?
No new kids this time, but some things just bear repeating. So here are the infodumps for my girls in Fandom:
Karla--witch, Healer, Queen, pain in the ass
*Her canon is filled with crack. No, seriously, it is. A lot of times, that crack is hilarious, but it can also be dark and angsty. Sexual assault, rape, brutality, slavery, abuse of various types, dead children, ultraviolence, castration...I mentioned both crack and dark, yes? Most of this stuff won't come up in everyday conversation, but if your character ends up developing a close relationship with Karla, it's possible these themes will be mentioned. I will try to put any posts that deal with these things behind warning and cut tags, but I do want to put out a warning anyway. If I ever fail to properly warn, please, please PLEASE contact me. I don't want to make this game un-fun for anyone.
* You may want to check this page first. It's her ability list. That list is by no means exhaustive. Karla wears the Sapphire, or the 5th strongest Jewel. When she makes her Offering, she has the potential to go to the 2nd strongest Jewel rank.

*Just had her 16th birthday and a rising sophomore (Hey. Kaeleer doesn't have the same schooling system, okay?)
*Likes boys and girls both. Is bad at flirting. Has been dating noearsyet for a few months now. Is still a pretty long way away from having her Virgin Night.
*She's snarky, prickly, stubborn, tempermental, and a little spoiled. She's also sympathetic, understanding, loyal, friendly, trustworthy, and intelligent. She can be bitingly honest and very pragmatic. Her ethics are not your ethics and she sometimes often has some problems accepting that Kaeleer's ways aren't always the best ways. She's also a bit of a brat. As always, her jerkiness is not my jerkiness.
*She uses Craft all the time. She's not showing off --exactly--but using magic is like a third arm.
*She cannot cook. That doesn't stop her from trying. Or convincing people that it's a good idea to let her.
Cinderella. Yes, as in that one. No, not the Disney version, god. From Vertigo's Fables. Everything about her is unmeta'd, so if you talk about the fairy tale with the glass slippers and the fairy godmother, it's Cinderella.
*Does not get out much beyond her classes because I am a bad mun. I am attempting to fix this.
*Is well over three hundred years old, but looks to be in her mid-twenties. She's both forms of immortal: ageless and undying. According to canon, Fables who are especially popular with Mundies gain in power as well. So, this is why Cindy can't hate Disney TOO much.
*This doesn't mean Cindy can't be hurt or is invulnerable. She just heals really rapidly (fast enough to be noticed) and can survive things that ought to kill her dead.
*Cindy is an amazing spy and fighter. She has superhuman strength, but her main benefit come from being immortal and spending whole human lifetimes learning how to seriously fuck up someone's day. She's spent at least three human lifetimes perfecting hand-to-hand combat and martial arts, and even more human lifetimes learning her way around guns, knives, chains, blah blah blah insert-form-of-kicking-ass-here. Technology and spycraft are also skills she's spent lifetimes learning, using, and perfecting.
*Does have the occasional magical gadget, courtesy of Frau Totenkinder.
*Her cover aside (and we'll get to that in a moment), Cindy is ruthless, pragmatic, and tough as nails. She has no problems fighting with a broken arm and several other serious injuries, even though being a Fable doesn't make those injuries hurt any less or be less debilitating. She'll lie to you, steal from you, and murder you in cold blood--and this is after promising to love you forever and sexing you up five ways from Sunday.
*Her cover, on the other hand, is anything but. In Fabletown, Cindy is considered to be brash, flighty, impatient, frivolous, shallow, and irresponsible. She's often dismissed as a party-girl, perhaps slightly more intelligent than Paris Hilton, but only because she married into money, instead of being born to it.
*She's in Fandom on a mission (making sure the island isn't a staging ground for the Adversary), so she is not going to be open about her true nature or identity. She can be read by telepaths, but I'm saying that years of keeping her identity a secret has taught her to retreat behind thoughts appropriate to her cover. Folks with powers to sense people who aren't purely-run-of-the-mill-human are free to pick up that she is not, but, unless there's a compelling OOC reason for knowing, not understand who or what exactly she is.
*Bringing up her odd nature is going to get denials, funny looks, and the character WATCHED.
