Momoko made a face. "Between setting up traps for the main army and then fighting our way into Corwyn's headquarters, Karla used most of the potions and ethers up. And lots of the food I'd made her carry, too. Then when she wa... well, she got really badly injured at one point and I had to use the last of what I had to heal her."
Yeah. Karla the healer had been too far gone to heal herself.

"I cannot begrudge you forcing her to rest," Raven said. "I would do much the same." Possibly by stuffing her in the netherverse. "Could you not have restored her before returning her to Fandom, however?"

"There was still work to be done in Leda's. Still some skirmishes and maybe more. I wasn't sure if I would be able to keep an eye on her and make sure that she didn't do anything crazy and get hurt before she was fully healed. I figured she would be okay with Warren."

"Well, she is fine now," Raven said slowly, not wishing to cause Momoko any distress by mentioning the difficulties that had cause Karla. "And I thank you for protecting her."
