If you weren't there, you (obviously) missed it.
Utterly amazing. I've been interested in
throat-singing for a while (probably originally via the KLF's Chill Out which has some samples of some Tuvan throat-singing, and later through Tibetan Buddhist chanting and my weird fascination with
Nunavut). But actually getting to see it in the flesh was really cool. The concept of throat-singing
covers of various rock songs may seem cheesy, but it's actually very well done. They didn't just do the rock covers, but did (I think) some Russian songs (technically,
Tuva is part of Russia), and some Tuvan material.
Death Metal "cookie monster" bands should listen to some of this and learn from it.
