I've been listening to a lot of African music lately. Malinese blues gets to me. All of sudden it occurs to me, I might hear Mongolian blues, but not Chinese blues. Funny about Chinese music, they sing a story or about love, but rarely about their own feelings. Actually, come to think of it, Malinese blues is mostly about the land and the people, not very much about feelings. I keep forgetting about the Western conceit.
