“What about you?” Hal said, between swallows of unsteady air.
“It’s not a concern.” Hal quirked an eyebrow before putting his hand out on Sinestro’s shoulder.
“Come on, Sinestro, you’re gonna sex me up like I’m some cheap barfly and then I don’t even get to repay the favor? I feel slighted.” His pout was fake, but the offer wasn’t. Sinestro bit out a laugh, brushing Hal’s hand off and turning.
“We’ll see about that next time,” he called off-handedly, as he walked back towards the main deck for officers, leaving Hal slumped against a hallway with new love bites and, just like the first time, no alibi. And just like last time, he couldn’t wait to show off. Maybe Sinestro was right. Maybe he was an exhibitionist. Hal shrugged. Sometimes, a man has to admit his own flaws.
And if that means tons of hot sex with your superior officer, then he’ll just have to tough it out and take one for the team, wouldn’t he?
