You put the magic in me
My friend theferrett said something so strange and freaky yet so understandable in his journal that a bunch of people were clamoring for him to work it into a story ASAP.
I said in my comment that if he decides not to use it, please let me know so I can give it the old college try.
This gave me an idea for the BEST FICATHON EVAH, but I've never done one so I don't know exactly how to proceed.
Here's the brilliant idea: people enter the ficathon by submitting a prompt or prompts. The prompts must each be a sentence or two taken from someone else's journal, including their name and the date of the entry wherein the sentence lies, so I can check it out. Then, the participants pick a prompt or prompts - I'm not yet decided on that - and they write a story around it. Minimum of 100 words, maximum unlimited, all fandoms welcome, crossovers welcome.
So is this a great idea, or have I just taken too many painkillers? Would anyone here be interested in participating? Help me, Obi Wan Flist, you're my only hope! Also, if anyone knows how to go about starting a ficathon, please fill me in.

In other news, remember how I was crowing awhile back about my free, new-to-me laptop? Then I stopped mentioning it altogher? That's because it died on me, and I had to hand it over to my Computer Genius BIL. Well, I got it back last night, and so far it's running like a champ. I am so very excited - I laid in bed last night catching up on my f'list, reading fanfic and playing stupid games intil about 5:00 a.m. Sometimes insomnia can be useful! :) I realize that most of my friends have laptops, and perhaps my enthusiasm seems childish, but I'm really not used to being able to surf the net from bed or the couch! Love it.
M'kay, I'm going to go watch the newest Burn Notice. I look forward to everyone's comments on the ficathon!
