Man, still working on breaking that 6 minute mile mark. Haven't really gotten much closer. Hopefully I'll break through this plateau soon.
Started lifting weights last week - every time I've done it before, I've pushed too hard too fast and injured myself; I'm definitely taking it slower and better this time. Feel a fair amount stronger already, and I'm sticking to a routine and improving on it every time.
Talked with Ben "the man" Heinatz yesterday - he's doing good. New uncle (Tommy and his girl had a baby girl named Haillie (sp?)). He's going up to Oregon next friday - you guys should give him a call if you can, and try and hang out before he leaves for the great white north. He'll be going to school up there this summer. His number is 510 351 7458 and he's staying at Tommy's temporarily.
My group in one of my classes is being gay and not doing any work - I did a report last week, 5 pages, and they haven't even been able to email me to tell me whet, if anything, they've done to improve on it. Ugh. I hope they've done SOMETHING.
Nancy's doing well, but she's stressed 'cause her group is also less than cool. She has a big project due soon, but she also gets to play with nerf guns for a different engineering project. Everything balances out, I guess. One of the nerf guns she got is crazy - it's like a bazooka, and it hits with the force of an angry six year old. It's awesome.
We've been eating well - homemade pad thai, spring rolls with peanut sauce, bar-b-que ribs, homemade chicken wings in honey-sesame sauce, beef stew... you name it, we've eaten it. Tomorrow we have burgers and on Friday we dine on Steak Diane, the greatest of all steaks.
Doom 3 for the XBOX is awesome. Terrifying. We should definitely play it in the graveyard while holding a seance, playing ouijia, and hanging out with brian.
Sin City is also ridiculous. One of the coolest, most stylized movies I've ever seen. I think Tarantino directed the second scene in the movie (the one about Hartigan, before Marv) because it has Michael Madsdow and because the scene in the car looks like it was ripped straight out of Kill Bill.
Finally, my computer died, hard. It's gone. No bringing it back. I'm building a new one. If anyone has any advice (STU) feel free to contribute. I already have a parts list (
http://www.tomshardware.com/game/20040529/game_machine-03.html#processor_motherboard_ram_and_cpu_fan) and some info on how to assemble it from tom's hardware.com. I figure that since I'm recycling my cd burner, my dvd rom, my keyboard, my mouse, and my monitor I should be able to build a pimp computer for about $630. If I can actually assemble it without frying, bending, or crushing anything.
Much love, homies. I miss the old days - let's bring them back, at least once a year from now on. Wherever we go, we can come back to Castro Valley at least one week or one long weekend a year to hang out and get crazy.
Talk with you all later. And Luke, I still need yo address. You haven't sent it to me, you crazy man.
Peace.
