G'Kar had in fact, not been doing anything ritual-wise on Sunday when he missed his shift at the store, rather he was contimplating and considering what to do in response to a message he'd received from Delenn.
Seemed the humans were on the brink of war again, this time a war between Telepaths and normals. He knew this had been coming. Not just from the things Lyta had told him, but even when he was still back on the station. Sheridan had said as much, and it was only proven further during the incidents with the rogues under Lochley's command.
On one hand, G'Kar could not blame them. The humans seemed to be the only race who shut out Telepaths, confining them to one area, subjecting them to a life of service whether they wanted it or not. But the idea had backfired. Instead of keeping them pacified and controlled, the telepaths quietly built their own infrastructure, right under the noses of the Earth goverment. And now they were in a powerful enough position to really start pushing back.
G'Kar would have taken an interest in all the going-ons under normal circumstances, but a visit from a certain little girl last year had changed that.
His daughter. His telepathic daughter.
And if the PsiCorp discovered that Lyta Alexander had borne a child...
He was not going to let that happen.
So he'd spent his week planning and plotting ways things might be able to work out. Barring a peaceful settlement, he'd take up his role in the fight. The fight for Telepath freedom. For Lyta, for his daughter. He owed them nothing less.
(establishy, NFI. This is G'Kar's post for me going AFK, *and* it nicely lines up with the upcoming AU Kids weekend, don't you agree?)
