(no subject)
i would have updated sooner but the 'rents were out of town this past week so i had to be all responsible-like and run the house. not much time for updating.
things at home are ok. the 'rents are gearing up about this move of ours. don't know where yet, don't know when. the most i know is that the house is going on the market march 1st and that maryland and florida are both in the running for destinations. personally, i'd pick maryland but my opinion doesn't matter much in this instance. we'll see what happens with that.
must remember to book a flight home for the first weekend in march.
started planning my birthday with chris redding. it's gonna be awesome.
this past week was fine, i guess. things went well while the 'rents were gone (no one starved, everyone was healthy and clean). the only problem was that i got an infection in my left hand right by my thumb's nail that got so bad i could barely use that hand because of the pain. when the 'rents got back friday night, my mom and i went to the hospital and the doctor made it better. stabbed it open, got a bunch of icky pus out (but i know there's still some in there), gave me a prescription for some antibiotics (that make me sick to my stomach), and a splint for my thumb (so as not to bend it and aggravate the infection). we may go back to see him today just so he can check it. it's not as cleared up as i would like although it's way better than it was.
we're going to first night later this afternoon/evening. for those of you who don't know what it is, google it. it's the 25th anniversary of this thing in worcester so apparently it's an extra big celebration. my sister's school designed one of the holes at the putt-putt golfing they've got going so we're gonna go check that out. there's also a performance by a deaf theatre group that i want to go see. we probably won't stay too long since we can't bring the puppy (which i think is dumb but whatever) and we don't want to leave her in her crate too long.
got some fun reading done already. going to the library on tuesday to get more.
christmas was as it always is: chinese food and watching a muppets' christmas carol. good times.
break is halfway done. on the one hand, that's kinda depressing (since that means it's only two more weeks until classes start) but on the other it's kinda cool because it'll be nice to get back to my friends at kent. gotta remember to ship my stuff the thursday before i leave...
must also check when all my various appointments here are. i know they're in january sometime but for the life of me couldn't tell you when exactly.
well, i think that's it. if i think of something more (or if something happens) i'll update again.
