ok, so i apologize for the lack of updates. and since i'm already apologizing for that, i'll go ahead and apologize for any offense i may have given any of you this past year. well, the unwarranted offenses anyway. can't very well apologize for things i'm not sorry for...
that's right, ladies and gentlemen. it's the high holy days season. this past weekend was the new year and starting next sunday night is the day of atonement. hence all the sorries.
services this year were, sadly, not very enjoyable. i'm used to high holy days being hardcore and this year they were two two-hour sessions over the course of two days. i think i'll go home for next year's. but that's just a personal preference. normally, i'm all for short services but there are certain holidays that i feel should be long.
school goes well. lots to do. my classes this year seem to have disregarded the whole midterms thing and instead set up three or so tests throughout the semester. so, of course, the first round started this past week. two last week and another three this week. along w/ all the various quizzes, homework assignments, and readings. what fun. but i'm handling all of it fairly well so i guess i can't complain too much.
i found this online chess playing site that was originally going to be used for brad and i to play while he's in france this year (and i guess for when he gets back too since i'll still be in ohio and he'll be... well, not) but it turns out that have tournaments on this thing! so guess who's signed up? that's right. it just started today. makes me happy. i'm such a geek.
band is going ok. the show we're doing now is a little weird (it's a radio show w/ snippets of song interrupted by static... like you're changing the station) but i like some of the songs. the work is boring me to death but there's not much i can do about it for this show. next one, maybe. definitely next season. we're done w/ this, kids. and the football team is sucking less than last year. we're 2-2. as opposed to last season when they won one game. so we're already ahead. not that i've ever been into band b/c of football...
so i have to learn how to play a band instrument. actives in the frat and sorority have to be in a band every semester. so terri and i are going to learn how to play the tuba. my bigs will be so proud.
speaking of, sara and i are gonna try to go visit abby some time this year (she's in GA until march or april). it should be a really cool trip and seeing abby would be awesome. i talk to her every once in a while on the weekends. she's doing well but i miss her like crazy. oh, anyone who wants to go w/ us is more than welcome.
ok, i should go get some work done. yay not falling behind.
later, kids!
