A/N: So this is my very first Twilight story and i am slightly nervous. Just so you all know i am known for writing LONG stories so this may go on for awhile, so i hope you all stick with me.
A few things you need to know first:
1) I am in my school finals time so i might not update really fast, at least not until June 5th is over.
2) I recommend listening to the song Remembering Sunday by All Time Low while reading this. That is what inspired this story.
3) I Love comments so please PLEASE leave some and tell me what you think.
4) I own none of the characters, but i wish i did.
That's all I hope you all like the Prologue.
He had to keep running, he had to keep going. If he stopped he would fall apart, he just knew it. The words he had just spoken, the painful look in her eyes, the tears that threatened to almost spill over her eyes as she called for him to come back, how much it hurt to just leave her standing there, it all kept replaying over and over in his mind. He wanted to stop, he wanted to drop to his knees and call out her name, but he couldn’t, he had to be strong, because if wasn’t strong he would give in to the feeling in the bottom of his stomach telling him to go back to her, to run to her as fast as he possibly could and to hold her so close and forget this stupid, crazy idea that leaving her is a good idea.
But he couldn’t do that, it wasn’t a stupid, crazy idea, it was a smart and healthy choice. A choice that would let her, Bella, his Bella, have a safe and whole life, a life that he could not be apart of. He was the reason she was always in danger and he was the reason that she didn’t know better than to just stay away from him. He had fallen in love with her so he stayed by her so much it clouded her common sense to run in the opposite direction of wherever he was. He knew he was selfish and it sickened him to think about what else he could have inflicted on her if he hadn’t left when he did.
Yes, this was the right thing to do, he knew it, he thought he knew it, he had known it when he came up with this plan, but now everything was meshed together and everything around him was dark and blurry and nothing made sense to him. He couldn’t help but ask himself what now? What was life with Bella in it? Was it even worth living? He knew the answer to the last question right away, no it wasn’t. He had no life without her, without talking to her, holding her, kissing her, breathing in her mouth watering scent. No life was nothing without her. But even thinking about ending his life left a bad taste in his mouth, he knew that having to live life on Earth without her but knowing she was alive out there somewhere was much easier than living an after life somewhere in the universe without her was an unbearable thought. No he would keep going on; as long as her heart beat in her chest he would stay on this planet.
His mind had been wandering for the past 10 miles, memories flooding in at a rate faster than possible. Seeing her for the first time, Tyler’s van spinning toward her, her face in his headlights with those disgusting scoundrels looking at like a piece of meat, the warmth of her cheek up against mine, the soft urgency of her lips against his before they parted ways because of James’s hunger for her, the taste of her blood running down his throat, her body close to his as they twirled across the prom’s dance floor. The memories beat against his head likes bricks being thrown against him at an intense rate. He lost focus for one moment than he felt it as he struck a huge tree face on. He slammed so hard into it that he was sure that boom that followed with it was as close to a sonic boom as you could get. He was sure that in a second the tree would crack and tumble to the ground, but amazingly it didn’t. It stood strong and he let himself lean his body forward against it.
He had finally stopped, and now he waited, he waited for the feeling to come to him, the feeling telling him to turn back, the feeling he would listen to and head back the way he came. But after a moment it never came, he was sure it would come but it wasn’t there. He was feeling something else, something he hadn’t planned for. Something that was even more intense. He felt pain. Not from the crash that had just tooken place, no this was an unimaginable pain that caused his un-needed breath to go uneven and the shell of a heart that remained in his heart to crack into a billion small pieces.
It flooded over him in tidal waves, he felt as if he were drowning at in rapid pace. He hunch over and tried to slow his breathing but he couldn’t, he clung tightly to the trunk of the tree and finally let out a sob that he had been holding deep inside himself.
After the first came out, it was like a flood gate was open and more sobs followed one after another. As he cried his tearless tears he slide down to the ground and just let the memories flood over him once more and he couldn’t help but just let her name pass through his lips at least once.
“Bella,” Edward cried out quietly, but once he said it he could let it stop at just once “Bella,” he cried louder “Bella, Bella!, BELLA!” he ended up yelling out as the pain just washed over him.
After some time had past he finally got the strength to pull himself together and stand up. He looked around the woods as if to make sure no one was watching his little episode. He looked behind him in the direction in which he had just come. He took a deep breath and turned away from it and began running again. He had to keep running, he had to keep going.
Was it any good? Please comment and tell me what you think!!
