However you feel about it, it's History.

Yup, it's over, I'd be remiss not to at least mention it. As in the subject, doesn't matter what your political beliefs are, even if you're an anarchist, or could gives two shits about the government at all, you've witnessed History. The first black president is nothing to sneeze at or ignore. I myself am kinda glad the vote went the way it did, I'm a little worried about how Obama will handle things, but I was more worried what would happen if it was McCain. I didn't vote Obama, but I didn't vote McCain either, I stayed true to my Libertarian vote. I had my reasons, if you wanna know, feel free to ask, I'm not ashamed. But back to the matter at hand. The results. Now all we can do is watch and wait. And don't forget kids, Bush isn't out yet, he's still got a couple of months to fuck us royal, and I'm sure he'll take advantage of it. Which will leave more shit for our new pres to try and clean up. It means things won't be rosy for a little while either, things Bush set in motion as long as two or three years ago may not come to fruition or light until a year or two from now, so we're not out of the woods yet. I don't envy Obama, he's gonna have a lot on his plate, and a lot of angry old white men to deal with. I hope he handles things well, I really do, this is indeed a change, that cannot be doubted, but will it be a change that works for the better? Let's hope so, shall we, and stand united to make sure that even if it slips, we as a people and a nation pick up the slack. We showed tonight that we aren't a bunch of lazy bastards who don't care, when we want change and mean it, we can stand and do something together. Though I wasn't as excited for Obama as a candidate, seeing the country showing it gave a damn for a change moved me, maybe we'll keep that momentum...it doesn't matter who's in office, if we as a nation actually can remember to speak the fuck up when we're tired of what's been going on, we might change this broken system. I hope he helps, just remember, we don't need Obama, or McCain, or any other one man to do it...we need ourselves.

"People should not be afraid of their government. Governments should be afraid of their people"
Maybe we took a step that direction tonight...we can all hope.
