how to date yourself
So, with being in Texas while Steve is in Michigan leaves my options for evening fun limited.
But tonight I had a lot of fun going out with just me.
There is this theatre in Beaumont that plays old movies. So I figured it could be worthwhile. Made myself a nice dinner and set out. The theatre was gorgeous. Carved everywhere. lots of statues. huge organ. plush seats. And the film was Funny Girl. Which was pretty good for a musical (I have a standing anti-musical policy). The volunteer ushers were also exceptionally adorable old ladies.
Then off to barnes and noble. classics and clearance paperbacks make me happy--especially my new collection of O.Henry short stories. I may just have to call them my bedtime stories. I should have enough books till school starts.
