Well, where do I begin? Hmm...
About 2 weeks ago, we participated in a traditional sweat lodge. It was a huge honor, and a really neat experience. Should you get the opportunity to do so, just be careful what you wish for. You may not be ready for the results, or they may hit you over the head like a 20lb clue brick.
Last week, Ian and I went with a bunch of people to a spiritual retreat. J met up with us last weekend and spent the weekend there. It was much fun, and we got to meet a whole lot of people that are very talented and sweet.
Both of those experiences make me feel like my family has been expanded. I've met people that I connect with on a deep level, and we've all adopted each other in one way or another.
Ian is getting big, and he was a huge hit with the people at the retreat. He was quite the trooper. Well behaved, even though his schedule was disrupted. Everyone adored him, and I've heard him called anything from a little druid to an oak tree. He makes people feel better, just by cuddling. :) He also sat without support for the first time, and he spent a couple of seconds standing up without support. He's taken to holding his own bottle, and he tries to feed himself with the spoon when he gets baby food.
Oh yeah, and bourbon is your friend, when sipping it around a camp fire with a bunch of friends. :)
