Lots of stuff going on

There's been a lot going on lately.

A newspaper article for the Register was written about a family that J and I spend a lot of time with, talking about their living situation (among other things).

This weekend is the Ren Faire in Des Moines, which we're planning on going to. I'm scrambling to make 2 shirts and a bodice before Saturday morning, while still working full time and having Ian around. T is going to cut out everything during the day today, so I just have to sew everything together. Most of it can be done with the serger, so it will go quickly. There's also a skirt that needs to be made, but C will have that done today, while Ian is sleepnig. Anybody interested in going with us on Saturday? Tickets are $10 for adults, and $4 for kids 13 and under. Most of us that are going, are planning on dressing for it. We'll see how far that gets ;) I have a dryad costume that I'm re-making the shirt for. T is going to be dressed in green, with a suede-like bodice and velveteen skirt. J is going to be looking kind've like a pirate (which suits him so well!). No time to make him the pirate coat, so he'll have to make do with boots, pants, and a shirt. Not sure what C and D are wearing.

We also have company coming this weekend. A bunch of friends are coming from out of town to go to a wedding here. It will be great to see everybody that we haven't seen in a while.

Busy busy busy :)

Ian has started drooling, and he'll go so far as to pull his binkie out, just to suck on his hand. Drool everywhere :) I think he's going to start teething soon. He's also a HUGE fan of Baby Einstein DVD's. He'll giggle, coo, and kick his legs. He loves the bouncy seat, so he gets that going while he's watching Baby Einstein. I could watch and listen to his giggles, coos, and squeals for hours.
