Fic Masterpost

Apr 29, 2014 23:37

I've been meaning to do this for a while now, but it's taken me six months to get off my butt and do it. Below is an under construction linky-type list of all the fics here on my LJ. The story's title will take you to chapter one of the fic, and in the cases of my multichaptered work, there are links provided that lead to the entire story. As a side note, It seems I've got some clean up work to do on some of my older stuff. Bear with me while I go through almost two years of entries doing just that.

NCIS
A Probie's Handbook: A Guide to Gibbs Survival (Gen, PG) As much as McGee enjoys Gibbs' team, his first year as a field agent was a little…trying. To protect all future probies, McGee puts his writing skills to good use and comes up with a guide for the future generations dealing with Hurricane Gibbs. Complete, but I will be adding three parts that never got posted on my LJ when I have a spare minute or forty.

Rule 52 (Gen, PG-13) Star Trek: 2009 Cop!Verse AU cross with NCIS.During a blizzard that traps two of NCIS’ finest in Iowa City, Jim Kirk and Leonard McCoy learn a new meaning for the phrase ‘interagency cooperation’, courtesy of Tony DiNozzo and Ziva David. Note that this story fits right after Saving Lucy in the cop!verse sequence of events.

Person of Interest
Tactical to Practical (Gen, PG) Reese told Leon Tao he didn't play video games. While that might be true, Harold has other plans. Or, "Finch buys a company to keep Reese from kneecapping the rest of New York."

Star Trek: 2009
Barstool Mountain (Gen, PG) Their second year at the Academy completed, Kirk manages to convince McCoy to come imbibe in some celebratory drinks with a bunch of cadets. The one thing Bones forgot? He ain't as good as he once was, but he's as good once as he ever was.

Captain Tiberius and Doctor Horatio's Adventures in Space Travel (Gen, G) Preconceived notions are tough to break, even for someone as analytical as Spock. But when he observers a certain doctor interacting with two young, frightened children, Spock realizes that to err is human; to admit it is divine.

Challenging History (Gen, PG) McCoy didn't buy the old adage that time healed all wounds. Neither did his daughter Joanna. The problem? As a publicity stunt orchestrated by the Admiralty, both McCoys are now officially part of the Enterprise's crew. And with nearly twenty years of animosity to work through, no one is particularly pleased about it, least of all Jo and Len.

Made it to Arlington (Gen, PG) Sometimes, giving your best simply isn’t enough. Kirk, McCoy and Pike find this out the hard way in the wake of the Battle of Vulcan. Oneshot; warning for canon character death.

Perfection's Fragility (Gen, PG-13) In the immediate aftermath of the Narada, Captain Pike discovers that it's okay to be human and not Superman. At the same time, he learns it's amazing how honest people are when they think no one's listening.

Polar Bear Plunge (Gen, PG) When McCoy agreed to go with Jim back to Iowa during Christmas break, Jim conveniently left out one little tradition in which participation was more of a requirement than a request. And they call Southerners crazy.

Say Goodnight, Not Goodbye (Gen, PG-13) "You know what your problem is, Jim? You don't respect the chair." He does now, thank you very much. ***Into Darkness spoilers***
| 123 |

Shades of Grey (Gen, PG-13) All he wanted was to spend a couple of relaxing days with his daughter, but apparently the cosmos were of the opinion that they weren't quite done screwing with Leonard McCoy's life.
123456A6B |

Triple Full (Gen, PG) McCoy might be a cranky, snarky bastard, but even he's not immune to 'proud papa' moments when it comes to Joanna. It would be nice if she's picked a sport that wouldn't scare him into a heart attack, but beggars can't be choosers.

War Memorial (Gen, PG) It took 25 years, a few near-death experiences, and saving the world, but Jim Kirk finally understood what it was like to be the man of the hour. He also, at long last, found a way to forgive his father, because George only did what he knew was right.

Star Trek: 2009 Cop!verse AU
**NOTE** Ordered sequentially in the series of the 'verse
Every Fifteen Minutes (Gen, PG-13) Modern day Cop!verse AU. Chris Pike doesn't think his job description includes babysitting his partner. But after a particularly rough day at the office, he realizes that he can't just ignore his rookie partner any longer. Not if he wants to live, that is.

Playing Santa Claus (Gen, PG) Modern day Cop!verse AU. During a rough Christmas for one Iowa City family, Pike and McCoy prove that, despite the guns and the badges and the sometimes unsavory job description, cops do tend to enjoy spreading a bit of holiday cheer every now and again. Oneshot and complete.
| 1A | 1B |

One in a Million (Gen, PG) Modern day Cop!verse AU. There are people who are truly memorable, unique or rare. Upon their first meeting, Pike concludes that a sixteen-year-old Jim Kirk is all three. McCoy just thinks he’s a troublemaker.
12 |

Independence (Gen, PG) Modern day Cop!verse AU. In the law enforcement community, the Fourth of July weekend means all hands on deck. Fortunately for Kirk, there are people around to make sure the weekend's not a total waste. Oneshot.

Standard Deviation (Gen, PG) Modern day Cop!verse AU. The best opportunities are often borne of chance. The key, especially for impulsive people like James T. Kirk, is knowing when to hold ‘em and when to fold ‘em.

Accidentally on Purpose (Gen, PG-13) Modern day Cop!verse AU. Kirk and McCoy are Iowa City police officers, partnered together and working the 3PM to 11 PM patrol. As a duo, there will inevitably be ups and downs. But the downs? They won't always be comical like this.
| 1 | 2 | 3 |

Defining Family (Gen, PG-13) Modern day Cop!verse AU. Blood relation isn't always the most accurate barometer when defining family members. Sometimes, "family" are the people that everyone loves, but wants to shoot at the same time.

Saving Lucy (Gen, PG) Modern day Cop!verse AU. A call to a possible home invasion leads to McCoy’s first long-term relationship since he left Georgia. For Jim Kirk, the prospect of an otherwise occupied partner is downright frightening.

Love's Savage Secret (Gen, PG-13) Modern day Cop!verse AU. McCoy’s hope was that one day Jim would understand the concepts of shame, embarrassment and personal boundaries. This was definitely not to be that day.
123 |

Words for Pictures (Gen, PG) Modern day Cop!verse AU Halloween fic. If there really are pictures worth a thousand words, Pike finds out it's not wise to show Jim Kirk the cold, hard evidence. It's especially unwise when the subject of the picture is one Leonard McCoy.
123 |

Star Trek: 2009 Zombie!verse AU
**NOTE** Ordered sequentially in the series of the 'verse
Bulletproof (Gen, R for violence and some language) What is ethical isn’t always right. What is right isn’t always ethical. For Chris Pike, the key is finding that perfect balance between the two...and then living with the consequences of his actions.

Transformers
Five Rings (Gen, G) Ironhide learns the meaning of the Olympics from Annabelle, Sam and Mikaela and that sport truly can be used as the great equalizer.

Five Times the Hatchet (Gen, PG) '5 Times' fic. Offhand, everyone knew there was five times during which Ratchet lived up to his nickname, but there was only one time he forgot The Hatchet ever existed. My first attempt at short ficlets, though it's not all crack.

For Science (Gen, PG) Sideswipe and Sunstreaker have come a long way since landing on Earth. But an 'incident' with Maggie Madsen oh so politely reminds them they still haven't come quite far enough. Post 2007 movie.

Purple Heart (Gen, PG) Saying goodbye is never easy, especially when it's someone who everyone thought was invincible. 2009 Movieverse. This is the original, and most assuredly sadder version of my challenge fic, Purple Heart. Angst ahoy. Grab some tissues, guys. Seriously.

Silver Star (Gen, PG) Rule #86: A Silver Star just proves that were you smart enough to think of a plan, stupid enough to try it, and were perhaps lucky enough to survive. 2009 Movieverse oneshot.
