(no subject)
So, it's been a while.
I've been applying for jobs up here in Topeka. Problem is, the ones I want to apply for aren't calling me back, and the ones I'd rather be homeless than work at won't stop calling me to come in for an interview.
Mel and I bought a house in Emporia that we're remodeling and going to rent out. It's near the campus, which is nice. The wiring in the place was all the old-fashioned zipline wiring, and the house was on a fuse box (not a breaker box) with 2 fuses in it. Yes...2. I'm amazed the thing didn't catch on fire years ago. Also, the ceilings were all dropped tile, so I took those out, and in looking in the walls, found out why they dropped the ceilings. There's no insulation in the house at all. So, essentially we're rebuilding the house. That's what I've been doing while looking for a job.
We went to NC this last weekend for a wedding (one of Melissa's friends). It was on Oak Island, on the beach. If you've never been there but like the idea of the beach, I highly recommend you go. We had a blast, and I can even remember most of it.
I have 3 different 80s on WoW now, and none of them are a DK. Now I'm leveling a druid (bear feral, so it's slow going).
I'm excited for the Chiefs game on the 4th of October (although I'm fairly certain they'll get blown out of the water), and I'm super-excited about the Dethklok/Mastodon concert on the 12th of October. Speaking of, Aaron, if you're reading this, do you want to carpool or anything?
That's about all I've been up to since graduation. Oh, and we might be in New Orleans on All Saints' Day.
