My life was complete at age five.

A freshman walked up to me on Monday and asked me if my name was Molly. I said yeah, and he told me that I taught him to read.

Unfortunately, I don't remember it, but I recall learning to read from these alphabet books in Kindergarten, and I used to help other kids out with their books when I'd finished all mine.

So, this kid told me, and . . . (yes, I know this is quite an over-used expression lately, but) it honestly
made
my
life.

It wasn't the fact that he told me, or that he even remembered who I was. Just that (prepare for cliché again) I made a difference.

Anyway, that gave me something to smile about.
