i have that song blue eyes from the gardenstate soundtrack in my head. i'm not enjoying it.
nevertheless, i'm in surprisingly good spirits seeing as how I have 2400 lines of Greek poetry to basically read over and over again and an essay to prepare by tuesday at 2. woot.
i do like studying, though. thats why i like school so much. its not so much the work that we as students do day to day, but more so the tests and the adrenaline involved. yes, i get an adrenaline rush from taking tests. i can't take tests forever, though, so someday i'll have to find something to either replace the test taking adrenaline or just live my life in withdrawal. hmm. did i spell withdrawal right? alas. i've also decided that the reason i don't mind studying so much right now is because it gets me that much closer to fall break. FALL BREAK!!! i orgasmed just thinking about it (eww!). i so went there.
things to look forward to over the fall break weekend:
1. boulevard show wednesday night. carrie will be drunk.
2. going home!
3. birthday dinner for mom!
4. doing work sine stress.
5. cleaning!
6. HALLOWEEN PARTY!
hooray! i can't believe my bro and his whole gaggle of friends are coming. too bad eastwood's girlfriend is coming. he's supposed to just have a crush on me. no one else. just me. oh well. he was in my dream saturday night. we were at this resort place, my mom had dropped us off, and we had a book of my dad's on seal noises. it was some sort of joke book, i think. anyways, our sole responsibility on this trip was to make sure we did not lose the book. sure enough we lost it. and my mom came and got mad and we had to hunt all over the cabiny dirty dancingesque resort for the seal noise book. apparently this book was the reason he lived. alas. super weird.
mayhaps i should not have had that half of a small coffee from the ole erc at 8 pm. but really, half a small? thats like 4 ounces of coffee. and i'm still WIDE AWAKE! at least tonight i did work up til 2. wow. here's how my day went: 11:30-4:30: study. 4:30-6:30: break for shower and dinner. 6:30-10: study. 10-11: grey's anatomy and greek quiz grading. 11-2: study. jeeeeebus. and i still feel hardly prepared. ok, thats not true. i'll be fine. it seems like a good idea to always tell yourself that you are nowhere near where you should be, in order to make yourself keep studying. make sense? i'm not sure. it also results in a whiny carrie who is a whore for compliments. 'no you'll be fine, you're so smart!' 'oh, you'll do well, you always do!' 'oh my gosh, you're like the smartest person i know, i only wish that one day i could grasp concepts and ideas as well as you.'
so apparently its my turn to figure out what my brothers and I will be giving my mother for her birthday. up until this past year, i have picked out EVERY gift for my mother since probably the age of 13 for my brothers and i to give. now that they've decided to take an interest, we have to rotate. what the f. do the last 10 years count for nothing? pssssh. I HAVE 2400 LINES OF GREEK TO LEARN. WHEN DO I HAVE TIME TO BUY A PRESENT???
