[Voice | Accidental]

-- make sure they are still secure. I do not need either of them getting free and causing problems.

[Oh what's this? A conversation not meant to be heard that is. There is someone speaking back at Lazarevic, but not close enough to hear anything but mute muttering.]

I think this little arrangement will go along well enough, he is ( Read more... )

planning something, stupid communicator, you shouldn't have heard that

[ Don't worry Lazarebitch, Flynn's making doubly sure they're secured extra tight and snug. Drake's, doubly so. Sorry if you lose circulation, mate ]

Isn't it annoying how often they do that?

[ HE SAYS IN HIS SLYEST VOICE EVER ]

I really don't see why we have to involve him. Allying with Drake is begging for a knife in your back the minute you turn around.

[ what the everloving hell had been going on again? the last thing that she could even recall was something about a gun being pointed at her and now Elena was groaning rather groggily as she rose from whatever deep slumber she'd been in. the blond had heard of being wrapped up in one's blankets tightly before, but something about the feeling of being bound at the moment didn't really add up with blankets.

it might have been the lack in it being soft.

lolling her head slightly as she woke, she managed to lift her chin and peer through blurred eyes at what was going on. it was her apartment, looking like a shithole and being far from a cozy house she'd gotten too with Nate. well fuck, that sucked.

on the other hand, the two figures in her kitchen sucked a lot harder and as her eyes began to focus, life sprang into her and she clenched her jaw in bitterness.

Flynn. How she really wanted to swiftly hike her leg up and nail you between the legs right where the sun hasn't shone in many a year; give her time and she just might. If not ( ... )

[He knew what had to be done to leave the alternate Discedo. He hadn't liked hearing it one bit and he had been prepared to stay there as long as they could until something...less fatal came along.

Of course his luck wouldn't have any of that shit and he had to watch, horrified, as armed soldiers managed to break down their door. They had run, barred the doors, and attempted to stay alive, but to no avail. Eventually the bedroom door gave way. They were surrounded and he tried to negotiate frantically before they shot Elena in front of him, killing her instantly. It was the last thing he remembered; falling to his knees, gently shaking her in a vain attempt to wake her... He never saw the gun pointed at the back of his head--]

ELENA!!!

[He woke with a start in...their apartment? His breathing was ragged and though he felt someone behind him, saw familiar faces around him, he couldn't quite register who they were or where he was, but ( ... )

[He had been about to tell Flynn that Drake had always been a good idea to drag along. At least HE got things done, and fast. Didn't mean he was never thorn in his side as well, every could tell you Drake was that.

But he'll be interrupted by the two captives waking. Amused at their reactions to finding themselves tied up, he'll just offer them both that creepy evil smile of his.]

Patience, little one, things will be explained. [Said to Elena, before he looks at Drake, moving to stand in front of him, hands behind his back.]

No need for being a good host, Drake, I would rather get right to the matter of this little visit. You ran away before I could do so properly last time. [And so he'll turn away and start to pace a little as he talks again.]

You are good at finding things, Drake, a needle could not elude you in a haystack if your will was strong enough. [Yes, he is complementing you, Nate. He pauses in his step, glancing back at the tied up treasure hunter.] I need you to find something that eludes us all here.

[ Flynn'll just be here. acting kind of sullen. He's working for the guy who shot him, who seems intent on recruiting the guy they tried to kill for most of the game. And my tags are short because I have portal 2 and I can't stop ]

My old dog had that trait. He'd chase his tail for hours before realising it was a lost cause.

[ and with a swift kick to Drake ]

Keep it down, will you?

Nate...!? [ so that's who she felt pressed up against her back, she should have known that but in being pissed off at seeing an asshole and his mutt in her apartment, she'd hardly bothered to figure out who she was pinned against. At least he was here, thank God.

Vaguely listening to the Russian drone on about... Well who knew what the hell he was ever talking about, really? He wasn't the most sane of the bunch in her kitchen right now, after all. She instead focused more on the lanky one of the two captors; because man what she would do to cause him just a little bit of pain...

Her eyes closed and she grunted herself as Flynn's leg collided with Drake, considering her position against her - sudden ex-husband? - she felt the kick, vaguely, and grimaced from it. ] Just like a weasel to kick someone when they're down...

What the hell are you two getting at here? There's no stupid treasures in Discedo. [ And even if there were, how would they propose to bring said treasures back to Earth? ]

[Find something? There was something of interest here? News to him. He had wandered around quite a bit and all he saw was the same old shit. But knowing Lazarevic this wasn't about finding some valuable and it was more about gaining control, or power.

And what around here would grant him what he wanted? Killing off the scientists? Is that what he wanted? He wasn't sure and frankly didn't care, but he had a feeling he would be left little choice with how he responded. At least he had the upper hand here. Sort of. For now. He scowled in response.]

Yeah, well, the only thing you're going to need me to find is a new hiding spot for you, asshole. Because when I get loose I'm going to beat the crap out of you. There's no way in hell I would ever work with you. Unlike that backstabbing sack of shit there... [Nods towards Flynn. Seriously. Hope you get screwed over again.

And of course you attempt to get physical. So not into you, but he winces because he wasn't expecting the kick. Asswipe. Guess he'll go ahead and acknowledge you now.] ( ... )

[He'll stand there, letting everyone get their two cents in, looking rather bored by it. Though his brows raise ever so slightly as Nate threatens him. Oh, Nate, haven't you learned yet? Your bravado does nothing to him. He'll come around to Nate, standing close hand on the back of his chair near his neck and lean down, menacing.]

You will help me find the Scientists. There is benefit for you in this as well, Drake. We find them, make them tell us how to get back to Earth, and kill them. Then go back. Simple yes?

[And standing back he'll pull out his pistol, and aim it at the back of Elena's head the audible click as he readies it loud in the apartment.]

She may come back if I kill her, but that only means I will put a bullet in her head as many times as it takes to make you comply. So whether you would never work with me or not, you might want to rethink your words, Drake.

What's that they say about men in glass houses who shouldn't throw stones?

[ Flynn looks pensive for a moment as he tries to figure out how that saying applies, before giving another Kanye shrug and pointing his gun at Drake ]

Looks like I'm the one with a gun here, mate. How many times does this make this? And trust me, I'm very aware of what I'm doing.

[ she'd been about to reply to Nate when something was pressed to the back of her head, as if it wasn't bad enough to have Lazarevic's body odor coming on strong with closing the gap between them, now she had a gun to her head. she winced as the clicking sound emitted into the air. she hated that noise, really. it was deafening in a sense and closing her eyes tightly, she prayed it would just end swiftly and that she'd take a few days to come back if the shot rang true. ]

Might come back but he'll have a good day or so to get the hell away from you in the meantime. [ she was speaking through gritted teeth and while her heart was pounding in her chest with fear, she didn't let her voice crack as she spoke; although with how tightly her eyes were clenched, it was probably obvious that she was far less than comfortable with the situation. ]

You can shoot me all you want, it's not going to gain you anything. Nate you know better than to help this asshole and his heel licking puppy. [ she spat the words out, hoping somehow that Nate ( ... )

[So that was it exactly, huh? Shit. Drake swallows hard and suddenly feels himself begin to sweat beneath his shirt. He had not a single clue as to where these scientists were hiding.

He was fucked. Not that he was about to let on to that little fact. No. But if he could play along for a bit, buy Elena and himself some time, then he could avoid any more trauma. And death.

The rules, this place, it was all...strange. He had heard that not everyone who died came back and even if they did, well, surely there were repercussions? He considered himself a gambling man, but not with Elena's life. His mind was still reeling from seeing her murdered right in front of him...

There was no choice but to play along the way Lazarevic wanted.]

Enough! You let her go and I will lead you right to the Scientists if that's what you really want. But I swear if you so much as lay a finger on her I will kill you...

[And repeatedly till you didn't come back. This time he would be the one to do it, too. Just because you hurt someone he cared about ( ... )

[He'll glare give a nudge to Elena's head with his gun.]

There will be no need for licking of heels, if he follows orders.

[Then he'll look down at Nate, and snort.]

You think I will just let her go? Why let go of the one thing that will keep you in line, Drake? Do you think me such a fool?

[But he will motion for Flynn to make himself useful and untie Nate.]

[ being the bitch in this relationship really does suck. but whatever. Flynn leans over to untie Drake, while silently bemoaning the loss of his beautiful handiwork. Those knots were a thing of beauty, damnit ]

Word to the wise, Drake. No funny business.

[ and with that, Flynn gives him a slight nudge in the back with his gun ]

Wait, where are you going? [ Nate didn't know where the hell the scientists were; no one did. why did the Russian even think for a second that Nate actually knew?

and who the hell thought they were allowed to leave her behind, exactly? struggling a bit with her bonds, she glared up to the trio of men in front of her. ]

You are not leaving me tied up in this shit hole of an apartment. [ it wasn't a request, Lazarebitch; that was a demand. ]

[His scowl at the menacing Russian doesn't change. He knew they wouldn't just let her go. And he was sure they had her figured out to be the type that would just trail them and ruin their day if she were free.

And that's what Drake was worried about. That she would try something. But Elena was a smart girl and he trusted her to realize he was playing along so as not to get them killed. Right away, anyway. Besides Lazarevic was merely relying on Drake's ability to find something when no one else could. Someone like Flynn.]

Well it was worth a shot, asshole. Can't blame a guy for not trusting a murdering sonofabitch like you to keep your end of the deal. Just try not to throw a temper tantrum if the walk there extends past your bedtime.

[Good. At least he was being untied. His circulation was beginning to get cut off. But goddamn, how long does it take one to untie a know there, Flynn? He lets out an annoyed sigh and when he is finally freed he rubs both his sore wrists ( ... )
