[anime cutscene, there is fog, a limo is driving through it. Inside, is a woman and a bizarre-looking man with a long nose.]
???: Welcome to the Velvet Room.
[end scene]
Bizarre-looking man: Ah... It seems we have a guest with an intriguing destiny... *chuckle*
Igor: My name is Igor... I am delighted to make your acquaintance. This place exists between dream and reality, mind and matter... It is a room that only those who are bound by a "contract" may enter... It may be that such a fate awaits you in the near future. Now then... Why don't you introduce yourself...?
[here you choose your name for the MC. In this guide he will be referred to as just MC.]
Igor: Hm... I see. Now, let's take a look into your future, shall we?
[Igor makes a stack of cards appear]
Igor: Do you believe in fortune telling?
[Six cards are placed around the stack.]
Igor: Each reading is done with the same cards, yet the result is always different... *chuckle* Life itself follows the same principles, doesn't it?
[One card is flipped]
Igor: Hm... The Tower in the upright position represents the immediate future. It seems a terrible catastrophe is imminent. The card indicating the future beyond that is...

Igor: The Moon, in the upright position. This card represents "hesitation" and "mystery"... Very interesting indeed.
Igor: It seems you will encounter a misfortune at your destination, and a great mystery will be imposed upon you.
Igor: In the coming days, you will enter into a contract of some sort, after which you will return here. The coming year is a turning point in your destiny... If the mystery goes unsolved, your future may be forever lost. My duty is to provide assistance to our guests to ensure that does not happen.
[the cards vanish]
Igor: Ah! I have neglected to introduce my assistant to you.
Igor: This is Margaret. She is a resident of this place, like myself.
Margaret: My name is Margaret. I am here to accompany you through your journey.
Igor: We shall attend to the details another time. Until then, farewell...
[Screen fade to black. The next scene is a girl in a bikini, accompanied by peppy commercial music. (this part is unfinished for now because of issues with background noise)]
Bikini girl: I'm tired of diets. Enough of going to the gym. Good thing there's something even I can handle.

[commercial ends and cuts back to the news]

Until allegations of an affair with Mr. Namatame are resolved, she'll remain off the air and out of the public eye.

[She switches stations]

> You heard someone's voice...
[proceed forward more]
???: If it's the truth you desire, come and find me...
> The voice came from up ahead...
[proceed to the door]
> You sense someone beyond this door...
> Continue through?
MC: 1. Yes

[The door opens and fills the screen with white. Proceeds to a battle.]
???: So... You are the one pursuing me... Hmhmhm... Try all you like...
[after the first attack]
???: Hmmm... It seems that you can see a little, despite the fog...
[second attack]
???: I see... Indeed, you possess an interesting quality...
[third attack]
???: But... you will not catch me so easily... If what you seek is "truth," then your search will be even harder...
[??? casts Bewildering fog, rendering all of MC's attacks useless.]
???: Everyone sees what they want to... And the fog only deepens.
