After Julian/Iblis left, Lana picked up the phone and called Dean. "Dean? Some guy named Julian - Iblis - just stopped by the housewarming looking for you and said I should let you know he'd been here. But what creeped me out was that he said that for my sake I should tell you quickly."

Dean answered immediately. "Fucking hell, Iblis? Did you let him touch you?"

"Did I - ? Yes. He shook my hand and then did that European kissing the hand thing," Lana sounded confused. "And he gave me a white rose. Why? What does it matter? And where are you?"

Dean reached up to rub his forehead. "I'm at a research session on how to stop Iblis, Lana. Just--Just the hands, right? What did he say? I need you to tell me as exactly as possible word for word what he said."

"To stop him?" There was a pause. "You're going to have to explain this all to me later."

"Okay, let me think... He gave me a rose and said 'Dean invited me... is he here?' Then he offered me the rose and said it was a pleasure to meet me and we shook hands and he said his name was Julian. He kissed my hand and I said it was nice to meet him and he said 'The pleasure is all mine, I assure you'. Then he said, 'You should tell Dean I stopped by so he does not think me remiss'. I asked if he wanted to stay for something to eat and drink and he said 'No, thank you. A million things to do tonight and never enough time,' Then 'By the way, he may not realize who I am if you tell him Julian stopped by. But he will know Iblis.' He said it was more formal than Julian and that was when he said that for my sake I should tell you quickly that he had been here."

Fuckfuckfuckfuckfuck. "Iblis is the djinn. The one I was researching for the last couple of days. Where--wherever he touched you, he can touch you again, it's like a rule or something--I didn't invite him though. Lying bastard. . . . Okay. We're going to solve this, already working on it. Just . . . if Sam's there yet, stick close to him, okay? If Iblis comes back, Sam should be able to help."

"I haven't seen Sam," Lana said. "I don't know where he is. But if he shows up I'll stick close by. And... be careful, okay?"

"I will. You too. Shit . . . find Aziraphale or something if you have to. Salt the doors and windows. I'll be back as soon as I can. And . . . sorry for missing our housewarming."

"I'll get the salt and get started," Lana said. "Just put it in front of every opening? And don't worry about the stupid housewarming - just be careful and come home safe, okay?"

"An unbroken line. In front of each opening. And . . ." And how weird was it to have someone to tell him to 'come home' at all, much less safe? "I will. Call if you need anything."

"Okay," she said. "I'm going for the salt. I'll call if I need anything, but I'm sure I'll be fine. Just worry about taking care of yourself, all right?"
