Messages had completely handwavily gone out the day before: Dean's birthday bash, New Orleans. Everyone invited, gifts totally unnecessary.
There's Bourbon Street! In all its tacky, over the top, over sexualized, over stimulated, and over drunken glory! There's Frenchman's Street! Blues bars! Ethnic food! Locals! There's Jackson Square! Buggy tours! Street performers! Fortune tellers! Cafe du Monde!
Dean had even secured a hotel off the square for everyone. That had involved calling in a few favors (some of them imaginary), but he'd managed to pull it off.
He was pretty proud of himself.
