This episode was on Australia, and naturally focussed on all the deadly animals. It was your typical cheapo cable tabloid production, lots of scary "da-da-dum!" type music, and earnest, dramatic voice-over.
The funniest segment was a story of a father and his two boys, who were "viciously attacked" by a "menacing" python, on a camping trip in the Queensland Outback.
The hilarity was in the disconnect between the melodramatic prestentation and the Aussie interviewee's laidback recounting of teh episode.
"FATHER OF TWO, BARRY McOZBLOKE WAS STARTLED OUT OF HIS SLEEP WHEN HIS YOUNG SON STARTED SCREAMING IN PAIN AND TERROR!!"
"So, yeah, I woke up in the middle of the night, eh, and the young bloke's callin' out, 'hey, Dad! There's a flippin' snake in me tent!'"
"RACING TO HIS SON'S RESCUE, BARRY WAS GREETED BY A HORRIFYING SCENE OF BLOOD AND MAYHEM!!"
"Ah, yeah, I chased the bloody thing out, and the boy's grizzlin' a bit. The snake's gorn an' bit 'is toe, y'see. So, yeah, there's a bit of blood about, eh?"
"BARRY'S SON WAS RUSHED TO THE NEAREST BASE HOSPITAL FOR IMMEDIATE TREATMENT AND LUCKILY MADE A FULL RECOVERY!"
"yeah, I drove 'im up to the hospital, an' the nurse put a bit of a band-aid on it, so the boy was 'appy."
