Today we;
* Slept 'til noon.
* Had a picnic lunch in the park.
* Played badminton in the wind.
* Took photographs at the park and in the community garden.
* Had delicious iced coffee from The Grind.
* Saw a vehicular hit and run and assisted the victim with car description and condolences.
* Rode around on our bikes.
* Watched/chatted to/photographed some people taking bongo lessons in the pagoda at the park (they were mighty cool).
* Had a delicious homemade Greek pork and eggplant stew with herbed potatoes for dinner.
It's 8 p.m. and this weekend went WAY too fast. It's kinda disconcerting. I didn't get everything done (ie: more unpacking and organising) that I'd planned, but today was such a simple, awesome day. My job is scary but fantastic, and I am really digging the office environment and my co-workers. There's a lot to learn (and it's a bit intense, information-wise, hence the 'scary'), but I think I'll be okay. Saw
Once (finally) this weekend - I lovelovelove The Frames, and this is such a sweet little musical. Also saw
Into The Wild, and it impacted me as much as I thought it would...also heartily recommended. Read the book, too - it's both very very sad and very very inspiring.
Such a great weekend, short as it was. Things go up and down, but life is on the rise. Simplicity, beauty, happiness.
