Today I made several metric shitloads of organic fettuccine - regular, cracked black pepper, spinach and beetroot. It took around 4-5 hours, but made enough pasta to feed 4 Italian families. Now I know that pasta is cheap enough to buy, but this stuff tastes so bloody amazing it's worth the extra effort (and effort it is, indeed!).
Tonight my lovely The Husband had garlic chili prawns with spinach fettuccine and a bottle of red. He says it was all very "deliciously, myes".
(I've been cooking since I was knee high to a grasshopper, and still, as always, find it so bloody satisfying to make a majority of food from scratch - it's the one area in which I've managed to retain a fairly consistent creativity. If only I could get the rest of it back. But one step at a time, mylovelies...)
In other news, the workplace situation gets even fucking better, as the New Girl clearly has it in for me - no shit. More to come.
