it's been a while
damn it's been a while. a lot of pointless news to report. i didn't go to summer camp - big shock. living in a cabin with a bunch of kids and no electricity started sounding like a bad idea. my mom of course was the pessimistic patty who pointed out all the negatives about going and i guess they sunk in. after all, there had to be a reason the parents sent them away for the summer in the first place. instead i'm working with my dad doing faux painting. i'm finally a paid artist - kinda. it's actually working out really well - i'm making more money than i would've at camp, or really anywhere else i'm qualified to work, and i can pretty much do whatever i want.
i've been acquiring furniture and i just rearranged our room yesterday. the bed is sticking out of a corner with a lamp behind it - something i've wanted for a while but never had room to do. the apt is at peace right now, which is good - but who knows how long it will last. i'm back to waitiing out the year and just staying here. it's so cheap compared to if we split a 1 bedroom. i feel like kate and greg though - always in my room. it's just more comfortable in here cause all of my stuff is in here. it's funny when people see our room - their reactions. shawn says it's girlie but it's really just clean.
i've been reading lately. i just finished white oleander - which was really good. i haven't yet chosen a book by her list but so far every book from the oprah book club i've read has been great. i'm now reading fear and loathing in las vegas - which looks like it'll be a breeze.
