Emlyn: See, life isn't just shitting on us.
me: Yeah, you're right.
Emlyn: It's taking turns shitting on us and kissing us.

Emlyn: But of course.
Good things that happened today
-I got a job! I start tomorrow at 5am. I'll vacuume and clean stuff. Cassie says it's very easy if you bring your own music.
-I got into a class I don't deserve to be in! Rather, I emailed the prof of an English grad level class and she let me in. The class is on the Victorian City, so we're reading Dracula, Oliver Twist, Jekyl and Hyde, some Arthur Conan Doyle, and a bit of Henry James. I'm excited because my other two classes are looking to be extremely tedious: a class on technical writing, and one by a prof that I know can't tell time or whether or not anyone is awake.
-I enjoyed the company of Jamie the Usurper at the PAST booth at the Info fair. We ran into the now-married-and-back-from-Europe Jared and Jamie, along with a very normal woman who is quiet but wants to be Pagan with us. We're very popular. But I'm glad the fair is over. It was much less exciting today, as most people went yesterday. And there was a lot less free stuff.
