so when was the last time i actually blew the dust of this?

but before i get the nudge used on me i better increase my frequency.
this weekend was fantastic.
after building furniture at work thursday and friday i was seriously ready to just do anything else.
i started it out being a tiny bit bummed out that dogsitting was cancelled on saturday, a.because the money would be nice. b.because it would have been nice to have a whole house to myself. c.because it was something to do.
but it quickly turned itself around from bummed out to fantastic.
after work friday i made my way (using my handy VZ navigator! which i am obscenely obsessed with and am not afraid to admit it.)to hang out with my IRL pal,

i put my pd skills to good use, watched a few interventions, shared the joy of freaks and geeks, had some dinner, met some CUTE! dogs and it was a great time. even with the 1130 RA call.
it always surprises me when i meet someone and they just sort of get me, not that i think i'm wildly misunderstood, it's just that i'm not always the easiest to crack. plus i'm always surprised when people want to get to know me, or think i'm worth getting to know. and i realize this is my own problem..and its on the list of things to work on believe me.
saturday i woke up, went and did some errands, was successful in obtaining an iced coffee, met up with my pal and went to ikea where i abstained from purchasing ready to assemble furniture. being tax free day it wasn't as nutso as i would have anticipated.
we then headed to western ma for a walk at a crazy army corps of engineers dam, we waded in a creek, went home for taco night, decompressed on the car ride to get some ice cream, and then went on a wild search for vitamin water.
i love spending time with her because we just fit. she's a great girl, who if things were different could certainly be S.O. material but alas. its the story of my life. timing and circumstance. maybe someday....
sunday i rolled out of bed, showered and dressed for a fun afternoon of payroll. WAHOO!
i managed to rock it though and it only took me a few hours.
then after a quick convo with my nursing buddy i left work without getting too involved.
not knowing what i was going to do to fill the rest of the day, i was saved by the text and then had some plans with

this weekend was full of conversing and connecting and engaging.
its so nice to be around people who care, and are interested and are interesting.
i love hearing about different experiences and learning about other people
seeing where they come from, meeting family members etc.
i hope this weekend wasn't a fluke because i could certainly get used to it.
time for bed.
